Does it? Even when 'ladling your roast' obviously means spanking your ass with a ladle? I believe it's also known as Amish kink, but only when the man has a beard and the woman is wearing a bonnet.

Hrm, are we talking soup ladle or cookoff ladle? One is for cup shaped while the other looks like a small boat oar... I live by the words of Andrew Zimmerman, "Always try something twice.." Grow a beard, I'll find a bonnet. We'll churn the butter together.

Which part? The compromise or asking for a good glazing? Ranks right up there with, "I'll make you a sandwhich, honey, you stay right there." 😜

Alas, I'm slacking! You're a step ahead of me in preparation, but I do have a lovely ladle we can use.. Though, I fear my rump roast will end up looking like a Rorschach test by the time we're finished.

I did a bit of research- a proper ham needs to be coated in glaze at least two times (sometimes three depending upon the thickness of the glaze.) So, drink up.

My dear, bruising is an unavoidable outcome where my cooking is concerned. It simply can't be helped; I cook with passion.

And the photo is amazing, I love the black and white choice, and the pattern of the fishnet is a garnish to a rather tasty dish.

It's a good thing I've a high tolerance for pain, though a papercut will make me whine and hiss. There's a tenuous balance in the kitchen between passion and skill- too much of one and the souffle falls, too much of the other and the whole house ends up ablaze. You've emphasized your ladle skills, but what of heating techniques? Cooling? Is your knife work just as skilled?

Agreed, if we're to put such effort into a task, it should be done correctly. I have a tendency to rush things, so you may need to rein in my exuberance... or we can set the egg timer, that works too. Due to the size of the ham, I believe the time between glazing applications needs to be longer than 20 minutes. Hrm...

Alas, due to my laborious toils, I did not hear the dinner bell ring whilst this juicy treat was hot and fresh. It looks delicious to my carnivorous self, though.

Fortunately, I'm not one to scoff at leftovers, as long as the meat is still nice and deep pink in the middle. As per usual; lovely presentation...it tantalizes the mind, though we all know what's inside is tasty with or without extraneous garnishes.

Mmm... chili, spaghetti, and trussed up romp roast- so much better reheated slowly the day after. There's plenty if you want an extra helping.
