well, I am sorry, that sucks. my kid had it 2 weeks ago. last time he got it, so did I. of course, I was the person who refused to believe I was sick then finally accepted and went to a doctor down the road from work during a lunch break like 2 weeks later, and got lectured. yeah, I am that coworker refusing to believe anything is wrong while walking around with some plaque. This time I really seem to be good though, not ignoring anything because I don't have the time. God, I will probably die ignoring a heart attack for a week because I don't have the time and chalk it up to heartburn. my mom's 3rd husband did that. well he lived, but started having symptoms sunday night, finally went in friday after work

We are kindred spirits. I finally went to the doctor Friday after having been sick for twelve days and not being able to talk for ten days. If my other half hadn’t also been sick (also strep. I was Patient Zero), I wouldn’t have gone.

I felt like shit this week and still worked ten hour days.

Thanks. Well, we are still above ground but it was pretty damn depressing. Don't know how much of my rambling you read, but in the past I have mentioned my favorite school mom friend. She was my favorite because she marched to her own drum, didn't have a stick up her ass, was sweet but fiery, and made me look all tame and reserved lol. The down side to her that I mentioned was she had a habit of being late to pick up her kids when she left them here (though in her defense, single mom is a hard life, I don't blame her for being slow on the pick up). Her eldest is my 6 year old son's friend and classmate, we met in pre-k. Well, she is dead. The 3 year old is dead too. My son's friend is in the icu (doing great). Anytime a kiddie coffin comes in the picture, it sucks, but we can only get the things done that need to be done. Her dogs have all been placed as of Wednesday, her estate is non existent so settled, they were buried Thursday, his birthday was in the hospital Friday, her best friends plan to take custody of him when released. Can't guarantee it will play out that way long term, I am sure there policies in place, so I gave dcfs my contact info just in case placement falls apart, but yeah, back to the status quo I guess. nothing to do now. Aren't you glad you asked?
