Sigh... the breaking of a bong is a sad thing.

these days i just use a one hitter. bongs steal your smoke anyway.

of course making the occasional gravity bong is still fun even if it does sometimes hurt like hell.

I have one of those but I still prefer the bong. I have a spare so it's not the end of the world *insert first world problem here* but it still irritates me. I had that one for... over four years. Maybe even a hair longer. It was a good piece. Hand blown glass and hand painted too. I'll miss it.

Some asshole was tailgating me on the way all the way down the hill this morning. I was only traveling 5 to 8 mph above the speed limit.

There are an astounding number of foaming-at-the-mouth idiots around here who apparently have a death wish. I don't give a rat's ass if they kill themselves driving into a tree (in fact, I wish they would). However, I have a big problem when they threaten to take me with them.


If you aren't going at least 80/85 mph in the left lane of the local interstate (yes, the one with the 65 mph speed limit), they will be right up your tailpipe. After roughly 15 seconds of that, they will begin weaving into the right hand lanes, tailgating, cutting in front of other cars (thus endangering everybody else) and will pass (on the right) at 85/90 mph.


There is absolutely no enforcement of speed limits (or reckless driving) in this area.

Speed cams in my country (Latvia) may case to function. They were planning to finance the second round of installations from the fines, but they're undercollecting, and now the whole operation is in jeopardy.

Speed and red light cameras everywhere. Some fixed, some portable. The cams free up the popo to stay in traffic instead of setting up behind billboards waiting for evil doers.

The cops are now free to cruise the streets...at mach speed. The speeders line up behind the cops knowing most drivers will change lanes if a a police car is inches off your rear bumper.

I just had the pleasure and privilege of joining the lovely Wings for coffee and a fantastic conversation. 12/10 would do again.

pollarded the huge shrub that was more than 2nd floor ceiling height roof down to around 6', stripped all the growth of twigs and useless branches so we've a bunch of poles varying in length and thickness—means we've a good start to veggie supports for next year before we collect more bamboo

trimmed tidy a few smaller shrubs his ma'am had been "clipping", set in 6 chrysanths for her, dug out and transplanted a butterfly bush... think i've earned coffee.

In theory one can buy the large container of Quaker 100% Whole Grain "Old Fashioned" oatmeal at Wal-Mart.


In practice, I have yet to actually see a container on the shelf. They are perpetually out of stock.


I'm beginning to wonder if Wal-Mart really does sell the stuff. Could it all be an elaborate ruse to lure the unsuspecting into their stores ?
