Having a story accepted by Xnxx is not a credential.

Literotica can reject stories for a lot of different reasons -- many based on the quality of the writing or format and some based on the content. None are based on ethnicity.

Xnxx is a different site with its own submission rules. While the moderation process here does have its hiccups, I'd be surprised if you were rejected for being Indian, given that there are plenty of stories here written by Indian authors and set in India.

Without you sharing the reasons given for rejection, it's hard to know what was going on here. However, if it was similar to the story that you discussed back in 2012, then the most likely cause for rejection is violating the under-18 rule.

Unfortunately, Indian publishing style is quite different from American publishing style and this Web site uses the American style. Most likely the site editor isn't fluent in the Indian style and/or doesn't want the style of the file to be as broad as it would be to accommodate your style choices (which, honestly, might not even be close to Indian style). I don't think it's a bias against the authors themselves. Are you sure you know the basics of any recognized publishing style?

I don’t think there’s any bias. I’m part chines and I’ve got a few stories here. I’ve had a couple rejected on valid grounds as per site rules when I first started. What were the rejection reasons?

If it’s grammar, I could understand. Indian English style is its own dialect and might not pass simply because it’s not a variant that passes the vetting. Or could be something else. Tell us the reject reasons, post the subject, give us a couple of paragraphs and it might be possible to advise.

More seriously, I've seen a fair number of stories by Indian writers and set in India. And more with Indian characters and subjects set in the US or UK.

I've had a couple of stories rejected on content grounds (needed minor rewrites to meet site rules) but I don't recall any due to ethnicity - and many of my stories have interracial couples.

She usually gives boilerplate explanations if the reasons for rejections, so you can (if you choose) correct the problem and resubmit. Can you give examples?

If it’s flimsy grounds, I could understand the rejection. Laurel is big on things like stories with too many spelling errors and grammatical mistakes.

"Thrice" is a perfectly normal usage in Indian English, so it certainly shouldn't be grounds for rejection on a site which accepts other regional variants.

And indeed there are quite a few stories here that use the word.

Years of working with engineers in India has taught me that grammar standards in India are very different from American grammar standards.

I've also edited some stories by Indian writers for Lit. It is a struggle every time to get the story into a more American standard form, but it is completely possible.

So the question is, do you want the audience Lit can give you? If so, stop complaining and do the work to make your story acceptable by Lit.

If you want to write exclusively for an Indian audience, go for it. But you aren't likely to be able to do that here.

Oh, you can. There’s a big Indian readership and a few Indian authors, they just don’t pop up here in the AH. But we in the AH are a tiny subset of all the people who actually write here. I suspect maybe we’re talking subject matter. I took a look at the one story the OP has on Literotica and hey, not my sort of story but nothing wrong with the grammar or spelling. The OP’s other story on Lit is a fanfic and it’s not clear whether the characters from the source TV show are underage (it’s based on a popular Indian show about a child bride). If OP’s now trying to post a similar fanfic, Laurel may not have allowed it since Lit’s policies do not allow writers to “age up” the original characters.... Of course, the only way to know for sure is for the OP to weigh in.

Yup. Your math checks out. The story was published in 2013 while the show was airing; it’s possible that Laurel couldn’t find concise character info back then (thinking back, I guess that makes sense... try to explain a show as popular as Heirs in the USA back then; fuggetaboutit). But it’s kind of icky when the OP writes that seeing the husband’s unmentionables was similar to seeing her father’s bits eight years prior.... It seems like a reader has to be a fan of the show to really follow the narrative, but likewise, that fans of the show are meant get those age references....
