Whistleblower

I'm making a big assumption here but we all realize the meaning of "Impeachment", and that this whole thing is masturbation, right?

No...99% of the anti-Trump or #Reistance hasn't got the slightest fucking clue how the government works or what country they are in and 1/2 of them think it means they will draw and quarter Trump on the front steps of congress.

I can't see any way this ends well for the Democrats.

It's not going to :D

Ironically, it is the Trump bruhaha that is dragging him down
with the Democrat base. The harder the Left goes after
Trump, the more we hear about Joe & Hunter Biden...

Did you see that one coming?
That was an old swept-away story,
until y'all decided, WE GOT HIM THIS TIME!

Who the fuck cares what happens to Joe Biden's candidacy?

Who the fuck cares what happens to Joe Biden's candidacy?

That's really one of the funniest things about their reaction. OK, I think it was wrong to target Biden because it was wrong period, but that's the extent of my personal concern for Biden or his apparently useless kid.

I think this is the first time we've seen a date given for when the complaint was made: August 12. That seems to point at either Dan Coats or (more likely) his former deputy Sue Gordon as the whistleblower.

The phone call was made July 25; Coats resigned on the 28th; and Gordon resigned on August 8. And the insinuation that the whistleblower had a political bias against Trump would be a lot harder to make against Coats, whose picture can be found next to "Midwestern Republican Senator" in the dictionary.

Also, remember that Trump originally wanted to replace Coats with Ratcliffe, a ridiculous hack in the Nunes mold. I think they had an idea something like this might be coming.

no one buys this shit anymore.

silly troll.

Why do you say that? I didn't say anything that was not true. They are my opinion based on my observation of the facts. SO many people (sadly, young victims of our public school system) think the President is removed if he is impeached.
I saw Mrs. Warren fumble her way through the question about ethics. It was almost identical to when Ronald Reagan said, "Yes, but no." or when Bill Clinton said, "that depends on what the meaning of 'is' is."

Careful what you wish...

If you need more evidence that impeachment is bad news for the Democrats, look no further than Trump's fundraising numbers. After Nancy Pelosi announced a formal impeachment inquiry of President Trump, his campaign raised a million dollars in just three hours. Over 24 hours, the campaign raised $5 million, according to Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale.

Careful what you say
Careful what you wish, you may regret it
Careful what you wish, you just might get it

:D

You know, there is one difference here.

Nixon had the integrity to resign.

The 'act' itself was seen as not much more than dirty politics. It was what they all did afterwards that was seen as a cover up. How many times has Donny and his team of scuzzballs tried to cover things up, or detract (a type of cover up by deflection) after doing something that could have been passed off as a simple goof?

Donny refuses to accept responsibility for even simple mistakes like an adult would.

The whole weather thing could have gone away in an hour with a simple 'Ooops!... ', but he chose to drag it out for a week and implicate other staffers.

Adam Schitt said something and was called out as a lie

He then said it was

Parody

think about that

Maguire is a first-rate ass-coverer. I've spent some time around career military types; it's a skill one acquires.

But the point has been made repeatedly: he received an allegation about impropriety involving the President, various White House staffers, and the Attorney General; then went to the White House and the Office of Legal Counsel to ask them what he should do next. He was willing to give the accused veto power over the accusation.
