You're not alone, Cyberbella. Happens to me all the time. Some people on here are so inconsiderate and rude. What's also frustrating is, sometimes I try to contribute and get involved on certain threads, only to be ignored and not acknowledged. Obviously I'm not in their little group of friends, so I should have known better to even try. That's okay, though. I'm not looking to be popular or have fake friends in my circle.

Neither of you berate or demean others here and both of you maintain an upbeat and positive attitude. Whether you realize it or not that gets noticed and you both do have a lot of people here who like you.

I guess my advice of the moment on this is to pay less attention to slights on here and spend more time just enjoying the available distractions. Very little here is any more that fantasy anyway so enjoy the spectacle of all the pretending.

I've been visiting this site for nearly a decade, and I still encounter people who have been here since nearly the beginning of Lit who I didn't know of. There are, I think, more than a million people here, and you can't keep up with everyone. And you can't take it personally if you're ignored (unless you're being a jerk, as maybe I sometimes am). If you read something from someone who interests you, pm them. Make a friend, and you might make another.

Well standard... I was more or less referring to litsters who I thought were my friends; which is why I came in to post and support their threads in the first place. But from what I can see, they only respond to their circle of friends and ignore most others. My only point to this was to let bella know she's not the only one who feels the way she does.

Oh so you agree most are fake on here. I’m so glad I’m not alone. lol it’s pretty sad that on a place where you can be anonymous more people can’t feel at ease enough to just be themselves.

It's the internet... anonymity does not incentivize people to be genuine. Lol Quite the opposite. And Lit is full of insecurity. I've only found authenticity with a couple of people here, and they almost never post to threads. I'm sorry you've felt snubbed by others.

Good overall assessment.One thing to also bear in mind is the nature many of these PG threads towards bantering, flirtation and games.

There are also threads where a lot of soul baring takes place.

And insofar as genuine friendships, it's just like RL, they come and they go. So no hearts on sleeves and just enjoy this place without over analyzing it.
