In your opinion

Can you cite any proof, facts, anything!, that supports your statement that Ford was allegedly assaulted sexually by Kavanaugh. Do you have criminal indictments that we don't know about. Is there any pending litigation that you would care to share with us. Sexual assault is inappropriate, we all agree to that, so isn't false accusations, libel and character assassination. This isn't about Ford, you could care less, this is a severe case of TDS. You are soooo delusional you would surrender your first born to get something on Trump. You should really get medical attention and perhaps stop posting on LIT, YOU'RE MAKING AN ASS OUT OF YOURSELF! You can't differentiate from a legal statute and fantasy!

How about her testimony under oath?
Indictments are not evidence.
Neither is the act of filing suit (beyond the fact that a suit has been filed).
Did you mean to say "is" instead of "isn't" and "couldn't" instead of "could"?
Legal statute? I think there's a presumption that statutes are legal.

Her testimony was shredded. She's a fucking liar.

What about her testimony under oath? Uncorroborated! No evidence! She was later discovered to be a pro abortion activist. Motive!

An indictment is a criminal accusation usually based on testimony and evidence. What's your point. There were none! How convenient.

No suit was filed, one big lie, just an orchestrated attempt by the democrats at character assassination, she should have been charged for fraud. Diane Feinstein should have been disbarred, censured and possibly expelled from the Senate.

Nobbydownsouth "IS" not concerned about ford, FOR HIM, IT'S ALL ABOUT IMPEACHMENT.

I had to specify "LEGAL STATUTES" because some lefty looney toons on LIT make up their own Laws and statutes. It was a little sarcasm but it went over your head.

There was no way to prove or disprove her testimony.

If you can't disprove sworn testimony, why can't someone else rely on it? Just because some people might not find her credible doesn't mean that other people are foreclosed from finding her credible.

Not a court issue, people can believe what they want, however, Ford was knee deep in a deformation and character assassination plot. Should have been prosecuted. Because of the "ME TOO" it was too hot an issue. The vote went in favor of Kavanagh and the repubs moved on. The lies are again on the front burner, SAD!

Not nearly as "amusing" how hard you Trump supporters work to rationalize everything inappropriate or plain wrong the man does.

So you think it was okay for then Vice President Biden to threaten to withhold billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine to protect his son?

No matter how “credible” her testimony was under oath, it lacked sufficient evidence and corroboration from witnesses. It boiled down to a case of he said/she said - doomed to fail. The Left wants us to believe her story simply because she said it happened. In my eyes, there was too much questionable stuff the Left was doing starting from Dianne Feinstein to Michael Avenatti’s BS.

Let’s not forget how she “found” a lawyer or who was footing the bill, either.

Would it be appropriate for a sitting US president to ask the Ukraine to help find "dirt" on a political rival?

*chuckle*

Get back to us with the question when it is determined
if a sitting vice-president used influence to aid his son.

So you think it's okay for a sitting president (or even one campaigning for president) to directly ask foreign powers to interfere with the US election process? Repeatedly.

Your judgemental "reality" is on shifting sands. You support Trump - you have zero ground to stand on to judge anyone. Let alone anyone running for president. Honestly I am not sure what happened with Biden but for a Trump supporter to judge anyone negatively is laughable at best. Completely absurd.

We are "not sure what happened" exactly between Trump and Ukraine, either.

On the other hand, if it is true that Joe Biden, as Vice President, tried to use US foreign aid to bribe or blackmail Ukraine to the benefit of his son, then that is a major crime. Trump, as Chief Executive, would then have not just the responsibility, but actually the duty, to have this investigated. Given the level of the players involved, it would not only be appropriate, it would be necessary for the current President to get involved.

Don't worry about who supports whom, worry about the facts.

If Trump is just trying to smear Biden by getting Ukraine to perpetuate unsubstantiated allegations, then that is a serious ethical breach.

If Biden did try to use US foreign aid to bribe or blackmail Ukraine to the benefit of his son, then that is the true scandal.

Here's the problem: There are still too many "ifs."

When, and if, the facts come out fully, then we'll know which, if either of them, is in serious trouble.

The election process???

What was Biden running for during the Obama Administration?

You're not intelligent enough to pull off innocent smart assery. But you are bankrupt enough to excuse and look past Trump's inappropriate, bad and even illegal behaviors.

For people so dedicated to excusing everything Trump does I have little faith in their ability to discern ifs from actuals.

Given Trump's relationship with the truth and the justice department heads he has put in place, do you feel confident in whatever comes to light being accurately portrayed/communicated?

ETA:

This whole thing started with some fantastical statement by, of all people, Rudy Giuliani. Seriously? Fucks sake. We, as a country, have lost our freaking mind.

You keep coming back to this.

1. Where have I ever excused any actual lapse of ethics or decorum by Mr. Trump?

2. Issues should be judged on the facts, not on who is discussing them

Haven't you anything of substance to contribute to this discussion?

So now you're taking my statement as an attack on you and follow it up with an attack on me. Classy.

If you cannot reasonably see Trump's supporters excusing and rationalizing his behaviors then I am not sure you can see clearly.

This started with a random statement by Rudy Giuliani. You know the one who can't define truth. And we are all going down another rabbit hole. Apparently you've never heard: consider the source. If Rudy wants to spout off I will most definitely be considering the source. Unsubstantiated claims by someone who used to be far more sensible than he is now.

Redneck translation: She was caught in an error of fact.

Let's put it this way, spanky,,,
  • Did you vote for Donald J. Trump for president of the United States?
  • Do you continue to support Donald J. Trump's policies?
If the answer to both of the above is "yes", then you absolutely without question excuse any and all actual lapses of ethics and/or decorum by the Tangerine Palpatine.

You don't get to pick and choose. "I like him but..." You bought it, you own it. Only clueless glibertarians even attempt to redefine his presidency as a buffet ("I'll pick and choose this Trump policy but not this one"), and we laugh at them regularly.

You should ask yourself that question. One of the biggest scandals in American history is being investigated as we speak. The Steele Dossier, the Clinton, Obama, NSA and DOJ all working covertly to sabotage Trump's election campaign as well as an attempt to depose a duly elected president.Foreign entities were involved. You don't exist in reality. Obama's administration was the most corrupt in the history of american politics. Speaking of shifting sand you should probably pull your head out of the sand.

Apparently you didn't pay attention to the Mueller report results. The facts have been laid out, you just don't have an objective bone in your body. What the Democrats did to Kavanaugh is the lowest of the low. That's twice the Dems played the character assassination ploy on a supreme court nominee, shameful! Biden Kennedy and Feinstein, Despicable behavior for people holding such a highly regarded and important office. You can add Dick Durbin to that list.

It was never credible, it was a ploy to work on ignorant people's emotions. Most responses from democrats are emotional and not based facts or law. They're playing their constituents for suckers.

Incorrect. But then honesty doesn't seem to be your companion.

No. It's just more bullshit that you guys latch on to. You guys cry wolf all the time. Misconstrue facts, embellish and add slant, invent alternative facts to support your hysteria. How many times are you guys going to do this? It's like you live for conspiracy theories. It feeds into your hate of all things liberal and democrat.

You're spoon-fed garbage day after day and this is what we get from you. Garbage in garbage out, just as long as we can have the drama. It's tiring. And it's ridiculous.

What bad, inappropriate and even illegal behavior. You don't know the law, you should perhaps move to another thread!
