Colt may make the best AR's but there many AR builders out there. The Armalite has been copied by, improved, modified by tens of companies. It's the 1911A1 of assault rifles.

How many other arms manufactures have other lines to keep the door open? How many are wedded to the AR?

But it is the AK-47 that is the more disturbing, because it is just a killer, not so accurate, or precise but damned dependable to go bang every time.

Our problem isn't with guns but with a society that breeds lonely incels that have no one to love them. Fix that and the guns won't matter.

No, it's not....I have 3 select fire (actual AK's) 1 Russian and 2 Chinese models.

Select fire/belt fed/crew served/SMG's/ Suppressors/ Destructive devices are not illegal....just tightly controlled.

The semi-Auto variants are a dime a dozen just like AR's, anywhere USA.

Yea, the semi-auto is in the same category as the AR, a semi-auto rifle.

Select fire = burst fire and sometimes (as with the AK) full auto, like the M4, M14 and M16 etc....actual military weaponry, the thing (D)'s like to conflate AR's with to fear monger the public.

Unlikely, there are no losses to cut, especially with their government contracts. They cleared their expenses and made mega millions long before we pulled out of Vietnam.

It's just another virtue signal to the left because they don't have to compete. Their primary customer is the DOD/LEA's.

I mean why buy an overpriced weapon from a Beto fan company when you can buy a reasonably priced higher performance weapon from a patriotic American veteran that supports your civil rights??

I know where I sent 2100 bucks this morning for a new high precision long range AR platform, and wasn't fuckin' Colt.
