Trump is Jumping Up and Down and Screaming For Attention

What is it that he is trying to distract us from ?

Trumpypants Donald Duncecap does not want to go to Demark,
because President Obama was due to visit after Trump.
I suppose Trumpy does not like those "before and after" comparisons.
He seems to be a less gracious guest, than Obama.
Another set of photgraphs that show an ill tempered, ill-dressed
Trumpy, and another dismayed and upset Queen standing beside him.

Then, again, the G7 visit is wearing him out, and visiting Demark
would be one public performance, too many for him.

So, he started a ridiculous fight with Denmark, over Greenland
to escape blame for not showing up, after he said yes to the invitation.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said she didn’t want to sell Greenland.
Another powerful woman that can stand toe to toe with him, on a equal level.

Trumpypants cannot cope with that.

He has mommy-issues, and his interactions with Chancellor Angela Merkel
have proved it. FFS, a seventy-three year old man, pouting on the public stage.

Throwing insults at American Jewish voters, before his trip to Poland is
a bizarre choice-

(pResident) Donald Trump will visit Warsaw from Aug. 31 through Sept. 2
to take part in observances marking the 80th anniversary of World War II,
aides to Poland’s president said Tuesday.

It would be Trump’s second visit to Poland since July 2017.
Under a right-wing government, Poland is among Washington’s
closest partners in Europe, with cooperation focusing on defense a
nd energy security.

The head of President Andrzej Duda’s office, Krzysztof Szczerski,
said Trump would arrive in Warsaw on the evening of Aug. 31.
Officials did not say if Melania Trump would accompany him.

The next day Trump will take part in ceremonies in Warsaw marking
80 years since Nazi German troops invaded Poland on Sept. 1, 1939,
starting the war. Some 6 million Polish citizens were killed in the war,
half of them Jewish, and the country was devastated in almost six years
of warfare.

Trump is expected to deliver a speech during the ceremonies,
according to another aide,

It does rain a lot in Denmark, but I doubt Trump knows that.

Was a quick mention, that the finances concerning Trumpypant's
private property in Scotland was under invetigation-

Trump Inflated Worth of Scottish Properties on Financial Forms

(against the law)

Mutli-purpose tools, double edged and serving double duty-

Why is Trumpypants sowing division in the Jewish community ?

The American embassy was moved to make the American
Evangelicals happy. Trips to the Holy Land are much more
convenient for them, now.

Evangelicals seem to be impatient with waiting around for the
end of the world.

"When Trump Talks About (people that follow the Jewish traditions )
He’s Really Talking to Evangelical Christians

Trump’s strange rhetoric begins to make sense:

When he accuses American Jews of “disloyalty,” he really means
they are not playing the role Christians have assigned them
in the great redemptive saga of the human race. Voting for Democrats,
from this point of view, isn’t a matter of abrogating Jewish self-interests
as reflected in Israel’s interests (as exclusively vested in Trump and his
close ally Bibi Netanyahu), but is an unholy betrayal of God Himself,
who wants confrontation, not peace, in the Holy Land.

In other words, Trump’s not as interested in Jewish opinion as he
often sounds. He’s just using Jews and Israel to express his solidarity
with Israel’s, and God’s, truly loyal followers over there in that nice
Evangelical church. He needs every one of them in 2020.

Great, let's have some more tax relief for corporates, payroll tax ... No problem. Capital gains tax ... Consider it done. The deficit is only a made up number by the communist fascist racist Democratic Party to try and scare the simpleminded.

Unprecedented (on many levels) and remarkable, and not in a good way.

Why is he dropping these mega-ton bombs ?

(Fuck! I hope he never gets desperate enough to drop real bombs.)

What is it, that he wants to hide ?

Firing Bolton bought Trump some airtime-
(Do we have an acting (temp) National Security Adviser, now ?

Trump Could Tap Pompeo to Pull Double Duty As National
Security Adviser: Report

For now, Trump has elevated Charles Kupperman,
Bolton’s former deputy, to temporarily fill in as national
security adviser.

Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney is also
director of the Office of Management and Budget and
previously served as Trump’s head of the Consumer
Financial Protection Bureau.

bodysong comment- My question is- Did Bolton get fired, or was there an agreement
between Trump and Bolton, to let Bolton move on to the next mission, (on FOX TV)
but provide a mini-circus to flush the newsfeed clear of the last sour note ?

Leaks have been largely harmless, because Trump got rid of those that
have independent goals, and agendas. The squabbles between factions
have faded because the Trump Alliance dominates everything.

If Bolton leaked the rumor that Trump had said "nuke the hurricaines,"
it was with full permission. It is harmless, enough.
It is not as if Trump takes anything seriously.

As some have said, Bolton accomplished his tasks.

Bolton Was A Bad Consigliere, But Trump Is A Bad Don

(This headline had me bursting out laughing, in suprise-
at how absurdly-titled the headlines have become.)

"Yes, he was terrible at his job. But one can't break that
which is already broken."

I was right to worry that the foreign policy process would
become more “chaotic” under Bolton. He disdained attempts
by his predecessor, H.R. McMaster, to consult with other agencies.
Bolton froze other officials out of the process in the hope that he
alone could shape President Trump’s decision-making. A long
profile in the Atlantic noted: “If the NSC under McMaster was a
consultative body, under Bolton it has become the opposite.”

How ironic, then, that Bolton — who began his tenure by excluding
bureaucratic rivals — wound up being excluded himself from decision-
making about Afghan peace negotiations.

James Joyner noted that Bolton was likely to purge the National
Security Council of the remaining “sane people,” which in fact
he largely did.

James Joyner

No, John Bolton Didn’t Break the National Security Council

September 11, 2019

University of Pennsylvania scholar John Gans articulates
for the New York Times-

“How John Bolton Broke the National Security Council.”

The essence of his argument:

To pursue his own policy agenda and serve an erratic president,
in just 17 months Mr. Bolton effectively destroyed the National
Security Council system, the intricate structure that governed
American foreign policy since the end of World War II. Mr.
Bolton’s most lasting legacy will be dismantling the structure
that has kept American foreign policy from collapsing into
chaos, and finally unshackling an irregular commander-in-chief.

[…]

Driven by confidence in his own ideas about what government
should do and how it should run, he had in mind something
\closer to Roosevelt’s juggling: The president in a room with
the national security adviser and a few aides making decisions
about most important issues in the world. To realize that plan,
Mr. Bolton included fewer people in meetings, made council
sessions far less regular, and raced to always be by Mr. Trump’s
side. There was no longer a National Security Council, in effect,
just a national security adviser.

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/10/opinion/john-bolton-trump.html

Jim Mattis was widely praised as one of the “adults” in the
NSC room and had Trump’s ear for quite some time. But,
while I prefer his vision of national security policy to Bolton’s,
having a single wise man as the only advisor to whom the
Commander-in-Chief will listen is not a process.

Second, and perhaps more importantly for the long term, the
fact that the NSC isn’t working well—or even at all—under
Trump doesn’t mean that it’s broken, much less irreparable.
While this President has taken it to extreme lengths, previous
occupants on the Oval Office also took a kitchen cabinet
approach. John Kennedy famously preferred the counsel
of his brother Bobby and Richard Nixon listened mostly to
Henry Kissinger. The system quickly snapped back into place
when their successors wanted a more structured approach.

"...the NSC is simply a collection of political appointees overseeing
a talent pool of professionals seconded from the various agencies."

"A President who wants an effective process would merely need to
appoint effective people, let them build a team, and then listen to
their advice. Otherwise, they get the foreign policy they deserve.
And, of course, so do we."

Poor baby.

if the media who he scorns gives him less coverage then he really might have a fit......

but theres a war on the horizon.....that will cover the GOP in their distress....always has before.......

Re that war on the horizon, wouldn't it be interesting if the country behind the Saudi oil fields drone attack was Israel? In my day of working with this sort of thing, we would have considered that as a possibility and looked into it (and, more than once, we found it was clever Israel). No way that will be checked out now, of course.

Who has the best drone technology in the world?
Who has the motivation to make Iran look like the perpetrators in this attack?
Who has the intelligence capability to produce "evidence" that it was Iran?

Could it have been the good old USA? I don't think it can be discounted.

One of the things 45 has done in response to this latest crisis is to order all federal agencies to "expedite applications on all pipeline construction projects" so the flow of black gold within the USA can make up the shortfall.

I'm guessing Donnie-T actually thinks pipelines are just something that gets pulled out of a magic hat once the applications are approved. Since the Saudis have already said they should have necessary repairs to get things functioning again done within three weeks, those "expedited applications" will most likely still be floating from one desk to the next long after the Saudis are back in full production. They certainly will be up and running and shipping oil way before any is flowing through new USA pipelines even if they get approved by close of business today.

But hey, it sure is a great way to use the claim of "dire emergency" to get people to start rubber-stamping things and ignore regulations, laws, and any consideration of environmental impacts.

Who is way more organized (and clever) than the USA today and can answer the other questions in the affirmative?

Oh, and I'm sure that a wall is needed on the southern border for this crisis--and Hillary and the Obamas need to be imprisoned.

And the Republicans in Congress sit on their paychecks.

Aren't oil pipelines one of the items on the tariff's list?

Everything Trump has done to keep the U.S. independent of foreign oil has kept stability in the global oil markets.

Very true, Keith, but 45's two functioning brain cells haven't connected those dots yet. Maybe Hannity can put a bug in his ear during tonight's beddy-bye-story phone call time? :D

Excellent question and a TRIPLE SNORT! on the reply.
