Trump is losing much more than just a trade war — he’s losing America’s future

https://www.rawstory.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/2016-07-30T011555Z_1_LYNXNPEC6T008_RTROPTP_3_USA-ELECTION-TRUMP.jpg

"Mommy, the Orange is Eating Louie!"

While White House reporters investigate who added a Sharpie line to a hurricane map, a huge global story is developing that bodes badly for the economic welfare of Americans for decades to come.

China is using Trump’s gratuitous trade war to expand its economic, diplomatic and military influence. And it is succeeding, diminishing America’s influence, especially in the Western Pacific and India. The long-term cost to America in lost opportunities and ultimately diminished economic growth will be catastrophic.

‘This is a five-alarm fire’: CNN anchor goes off on the ‘Trumpster Fire’ in the White House

#SharpieGate!!!"

CNN on Sunday warned about President Donald Trump’s “deranged campaign” to continue lying to the American people about his management of Hurricane Dorian.

“Hurricane Dorian has neared the end of its destructive path, but the Trump administration is still trying to prove that the president’s false warning from a week ago was actually not factually inaccurate,” anchor S.E. Cupp noted.

It’s official: Trump’s wall is a flop and even Fox News now calls his big campaign promise a mistake

“Bases come and bases go.”

That was the ominous warning recently delivered to President Trump by Lou Dobbs, perhaps Trump’s loudest media sycophant. “His base is expecting a wall. They’re expecting illegal immigration to be stopped,” Dobbs explained on his Fox Business Network show. “But, my God, November 2020 is nearing at an alarming rate!”

Since his 2017 inauguration, not one new mile of Trump’s border wall has gone up.

When he lost Lou Dobbs, he lost... :D

Sanders campaign says Trump ‘worried about being exposed as a fraud’ as report suggests president wary of running against socialism in 2020

As GOP fearmongering about the so-called looming socialist menace continues to intensify ahead of the 2020 elections, President Donald Trump has reportedly expressed concern behind the scenes that anti-socialist messaging may not be as popular or effective as Republican strategists appear to believe.

The Daily Beast, citing anonymous sources close to the president, reported Sunday night that “Trump has repeatedly told friends and donors that running against ‘socialism’ in a general election may not be ‘so easy’ because of its populist draw.”

“Bernie can and will do that successfully,” Shakir told The Daily Beast. “We’ll have a national debate about policies that help the one percent versus policies that lift the 99. I get the sense Trump knows the reckoning is coming and is worried about being exposed as a fraud. No Sharpie edits will save him.

Air Force launches worldwide probe into Trump resort stays after another one found

The U.S. Air Force is ordering a worldwide probe after outrage over a huge increase in refueling stops at an airport near a Trump property and an overnight stay at a Trump luxury resort by military personnel.

The public has been focused recently on news an Air Force jet was directed to refuel at Prestwick, a small commercial airport in Scotland, with crews ordered to stay at Trump’s Turnberry resort (photo). Now Politico reports this odd instance was not the first.

Panicky Trump scrambles to distance himself from Pence-Air Force travel scandals: ‘NOTHING TO DO WITH ME’

President Donald Trump scrambled away from a pair of government travel scandals that have fallen under investigation.

House Democrats will investigate Vice President Mike Pence’s visit to a Trump-owned golf resort in Doonberg, Ireland, and the U.S. Air Force is investigating overnight by flight crews at a Trump-owned property in Scotland.

The president tweeted out a pair of denials after the burgeoning scandals were widely covered Monday morning on cable TV news.

Mike, the 25th looms! Dump the Chump Trump, Mike!:D:D:D:D:D

‘An outright lie’: US businessman rages at Trump over China tariff claims

In an examination into how Donald Trump’s trade war is impacting U.S. manufacturers and farmers, Bloomberg reports that, not only is a recession likely due to the president’s trade policies, but in some sectors of the country it has already arrived.

The report begins with an interview with Greg Petras, president of Kuhn North America, a manufacturer farm equipment in Wisconsin where he employs over 600 people.

With Bloomberg characterizing Trump’s trade was as a “toxic mix of rising costs and falling revenues,” Petras grew angry when asked about the president’s claim China is absorbing all the costs.

“It’s just an outright lie, and he knows it,” Petras exclaimed. “You’re slamming your fist on the steering wheel and saying ‘Why would you tell people this?’”

Will crop prices improve by fall when the harvest is in? Will farmers support any Rethuglican in 2020?

Trump has reportedly called Fox News' CEO to fume about the network's coverage
The Week | Mon Sep 09, 2019 17:47 UTC

(Don't answer that.)

There has not been a single shred of Trumpian foreign "policy" that has aligned with traditional Republican values. They've conceded all. It's a joke to suggest that anything appalls them anymore. They've sold their souls.

Hardly. He dismissed Bolton for one of Bolton's few sane positions.

It hardly matters who Trump brings into that position now. It's now a lame duck position.

rump's approval rating has dropped below 40 percent in three new polls amid rising concerns of a looming recession.

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll, released Tuesday, shows Trump's approval rating at 38 percent among Americans, with 56 percent disapproving of his performance in the Oval Office. Conducted in early September, the results come as Americans have become increasingly concerned that the U.S.' trade war with China may cause a recession in the coming months.

The president's approval rating stands at 39 percent, according to a new CNN/SSRS poll, also released on Tuesday, with 55 percent disapproving of the president's performance. Compared to CNN/SSRS' last poll, Trump's approval rating dropped by one percentage point, while his disapproval rating rose by one point.

Gallup's latest figures also has Trump's approval rating at 39 percent, with 57 percent of respondents disapproving of the president's job performance. Conducted between August 15-30, the results show a two percent drop in Trump's approval rating from last month, which had him at 41 percent.

Is the Russian Don trying to con future voters at the expense of past voters?

Along with Michigan and Ohio, the other states where healthcare coverage declined included Texas, Arizona, Idaho, Tennessee and Alabama, all of which voted for Trump in 2016.

But the benefits seem to have centered in the country’s metropolitan areas, which are more likely to vote Democratic.

According to regional data released by the Census, median household income inside major U.S. cities grew by a statistically significant 5.4%. Outside those urban areas, in the rural and suburban regions where Trump’s support is strongest, household income barely changed.

World leaders react to John Bolton’s sudden departure

The sudden ouster of John Bolton as Donald Trump’s national security adviser has been met with varying reactions from leaders around the world. Notably hawkish on Iran, Bolton had been a key opponent of holding talks with leaders in Tehran.

Trump and Bolton, known for his hawkish views, had disagreed on key foreign policy challenges including Russia, North Korea, Iran and Afghanistan. Last year Bolton masterminded a quiet campaign inside the administration – and with allies abroad – to persuade Trump to keep US forces in Syria to counter the remnants of the Islamic State group and Iranian influence in the region.

Plus, Raw Story is pushing a petition to get the Dems to subpoena Bolton now that Trumpski has dumped him. How much could/would he expose of Trump's fuckery?:D
