Some of that doesn't appeal to me. I would never sleep in cage, eat out of a bowl like that or make someone else do it. I did play horsie with an ex. Not pony play. not into that. He just got down on all fours, naked and I rode naked on his back. That was kind of fun.
 
I don’t see any overlap between pet play and furries.

The largest group of furries consists of people who simply enjoy creating, sharing and discussing anthropomorphic art (i.e. humanised animals), as well as enjoying media (Sonic the Hedgehog, Secret of Nimh, etc) about same.

Ever since that frickin' CSI episode, however, there's been a misunderstanding that all furries want to fuck animals or fuck each other dressed in animal costumes. There's definitely a subset who do, but they are a small subset, and most normal - and I use that word advisedly - furries don't care for them.

Hmmm... Sonic is cute but I don't want to be him. Sounds a bit like Cosplay to me.

Now that you have explained this, I don't think that has anything to do with pet.

I love animals and fucking hate other human beings, so a woman who takes on the role of my pet probably has a better shot at me treating her like I actually give a shit about her comfort, happiness, and general well-being.

But I ain't fucking no bitch in a Foghorn Leghorn costume.
 
Oh I get the idea of having a sub crawl on all fours, especially on a leash! That to me is very hot, but I think that's mostly because of the degradation aspect. The other stuff I feel more indifferent about
 
Some treat their beloved pets as people, some occasionally treat their beloved people as pets... Honestly, the first creeps me out more than the second. :D
 
Degradation doesn't do it for me, so there's tons of this I understand but am intrigued by.
There is something inherently sexy about a lot of this.. but I think maybe it's just the collar... plus cute ears would be fun to accessorize :D
 
No judgment but this all makes me wince. Degradation is not my thing and walking on all fours with a leash and collar on seems to be the ultimate. If it makes you hot, good on you.

See that's kind of where I am with most of it, I have friends that this is their thing and I'm glad the are happy.
I think mostly I just want to be a sexy kitten or mouse for halloween. :D
