Woodstock 69

I was born in the wrong era. I would have loved to have been at Woodstock in ‘69. Thank God for utube. Sadly, some of the great bands didn’t play at the event that probably should have.

Oh, me too! When I was four, I would have loved sliding around in all that mud! I can't see my Mom driving me there, though, because she already had the three of us kids and my second brother was just a few weeks from birth.

Who knows, though? Had I gone, maybe I would have put more effort afterwards in strumming away on Dad's guitar that about then I had discovered languishing in a hall closet.

I would have loved to see Creedence Clearwater Revival play “Proud Mary” and Jefferson Airplane play “White Rabbit” live at Woodstock in ‘69.

Oh, the thoughts of what could have been, eh? Wish I took up the Hammond!! :)

I never got to see Woodstock but I remember the monumental traffic jam it caused.

My folks were taking us on a family vacation, we were driving up Route 17 from West Point, NY to visit family in Binghamton. To get there, we had to drive right by Yasgur's farm/Bethel literally the Monday after Woodstock in August 1969. Absolutely amazed at the sheer number of hippies. Seems like it took two days to make that trip.

I was just out of 9th grade in the summer of '69. Music came through my transistor radio while I was patching gill nets. KSRM or KENI were the stations. Woodstock was a happening far-far away and did not affect any of my life at the time.

I can't imagine anything worse than being trapped in a mob of dopes, dumbass hippies, mud, idiots, filth and stupidity.

Woodstock was the quintessential definition of young and stupid.

have a good day :rose:

I had a ticket for Woodstock, and got an order to "report for induction on 8/12." I gave my ticket to a friend, and she and my other friends had a blast.
