Republican says it's time to become politically intolerant

In any other part of the world a call to keep a place "red" is a call for socialism or communism.

Only in America!

They weren't intolerant already?

I know, right?

Why do all of the moronic racist conservatives here want to put things up Luk's butt  #nohomo

Why is it that after all these years and all your bans do you think that any of us give a flying fuck what you think? You were born a troll and the Lit made you a racist troll.

You racist republicans have never been good at the funny, Tweak.

What, Eeyore... Idolizing current racists isn't enough for you?

I was sort of surprised Luk left of the requisite "racist" from before Republican in the thread title.

Maybe he just realized that is redundant?

Intolerance to socialist/progressive/collectivist government is a classically liberal, American patriot political stance. Good for them.

The guy is shitting a brick because he saw what happened to Tarrant County during the 2018 mid-term election. Granted, one election cycle doesn't make a trend, but the demographics are shifting, and Texas is moving toward the tossup category. And HC is not running in 2020.

It's one of the few red cities in Texas so its not a surprise it's turning blue. Texas as a whole will probably be blue in a couple cycles. It's the way of things. 20 years after that they'll go red again like they did before.
I stopped giving a shit a long time ago. Political parties are stupid, people are stupid and worrying about things that don't affect you is stupid.
Not sure why this is really even a story cuz it is apparently just a comment made by a nobody on a website. Be like a random post here making the news.

The pendulum swings...

This idea of places turning blue is a bit of wishful thinking because
the Democrats have loud angry voices that are sure to push the
pendulum back the other way.

People can see what happens to cities that go deep blue.
Those places manage to stay blue thanks to population mobility.
Those persons who are the target of political intolerance
but are still expected to foot the bulk of the local tax bill
simply pack up and move to climes more tolerant...

Don’t you just love the RWCJ “city hate?” The shithole conspiracy? Meanwhile people pay top dollar to live in or just visit “blue” places like Boston, Philly, NY, DC, Miami, SF, LA, Denver, Seattle.

Obama goes after Leftist intolerance

Former President Barack Obama zeroed in on the Left's streak of intentional intolerance again this week.

"Democracy demands that we're able also to get inside the reality of people who are different than us so we can understand their point of view. Maybe we can change their minds, maybe they'll change ours. You can't do this if you just out of hand disregard what your opponent has to say from the start," he said in a speech on Tuesday. "And you can't do it if you insist that those who aren't like you, because they are white or they are male, somehow there is no way they can understand what I'm feeling, that somehow they lack standing to speak on certain matters."

The definition of "identity politics" varies, but Obama is clearly targeting the popular progressive notion that a person's membership in a dominant or "privileged" identity group (Caucasian, cisgender, male) strips their opinions on topics like race and gender of validity. It's a toxic strain of thought that has influenced efforts to censor or attack nonprogressive voices on college campuses and in the media, making it a strong undercurrent in our broader culture of political division as well.

I was merely exploring cause and effect in a bit more detail.

Democrats have gotten very nasty in their rhetoric and actions
and then, turn on a dime and play victim should someone declare:

We're going to play by their rules!

The Democrats certitude that they can look at the racial breakdown of a given region and look at voting patterns and assume that forever after as long as that racial composition remains in what they view their favor they will win. What they're assuming is that none of those people of color will become upwardly mobile and change their political views. They also assume that the Next Generation likewise will appreciate the cycle of dependency rather than opportunity that is a reality of igloo cities. It doesn't have to be that way but it is. For now.

Such a snowflake.
