So I'm planning my next adventure and thought I'd get the opinions of some Litsters on where they're dream destination is.

Hey, there. I have had the chance to travel quite a bit and thought I’d share my thoughts and offer some suggestions.
Tokyo is great but Kyoto is AMAZING. It is definitely my favorite city in the world. Super safe for women to travel to alone, as well!
I guess the most “popular” places that I have an opinion on are these:
Rome is meh - soooo busy and filled with trash and starving dogs, Avoid Naples but go see Pompeii! Paris is phenomenal (and they are actually nice there, don’t listen to the haters) plus the food is ORGASMIC literally everywhere. Barcelona is fabulous, Athens is horrible - corrupt, dirty and rude, London is great. Almost all Nordic countries are beautiful and safe but the weather is...brrr.
IMO, you should see the islands of the Caribbean once and then again only from a cruise ship. I despise Jamaica, probably because I was assaulted there twice. The British Virgin Islands are the nicest of the lot, I think.
I haven’t done South America yet so I can’t speak to that. Hopefully I’ll get there one day!

Oh so many places I’d love to go.

First ones that popped into my head though were Thailand and closer to home, Croatia. Both supposed to be beautiful countries and the pictures look amazing.

Thank you for the input. I've been to most of the destinations you've mentioned exceptions are those already on my list. I will add Kyoto , Pompeii and the Virgin islands to my bucket list.

I've been to both. I can tell you that I absolutely love Thailand and would love to retire there if I could. I've been to Croatia twice. Once as a cruise port stop and once I stayed for a week in Dubrovnik. So worth it. You should definitely go if you can!!

I want to go now! Thailand has been one of my go to places for ages...one day I’ll get there.

Croatia is the plan for next year, possibly week cruise of the Adriatic and then a week on land, exploring a little.

Unless there is another city with the same name, Prague is in the Czech Republic, not Poland, where the capital is Warsaw.

I vote Iceland. Everyone speaks English, the scenery is wondrous and you might get to see northern lights. My second vote would be Peru.
