That one irked me too. I'd like to believe its just a misguided attempt to fit into the rest of the language that is rife here, but I suspect not. I pity the woman who had to give him a bj just to shut up about it, and I sincerely hope that's as much fighting as went into it.

Personally I don't mind the word slut, but I don't think the way it's meant in the majority of threads here is the same. It's all a bit... Incel, at times.

I’m with SL on this one, kind of a rant ... and not without a base.

There are very few (if any) male equivalents that carry the same weight. It carries into the territory that a woman should behave a certain way ‘outside the bedroom’ and yet be fully knowledgeable ‘in the the bedroom’. The two personas are, seemingly, at odds with each other, yet they are highly desirable. Where a man is not getting what he wants at home, he looks elsewhere even with the cliche line ‘my wife doesn’t understand me’.

Before it comes across that i’m beating down on guys. (Checks contents of underwear). Yep. A woman can use said terms to describe herself but with a tinge of wanting to feel empowered or having to revert to loaded terms in order to garner attention. There needs to be equivalent male terms, or stop using the terms to denigrate a woman’s position.

Your judgement isn’t off - that would bother me too... I think I manage to avoid a lot of the more offensive language on lit by sticking to my safe corners, I am mostly here, day drunk, my thread or the audio thread... but if you are more sociable than me and actually want to connect to more people, you must chance upon it a lot more...

You see now I’m worried about coming across as prudish and having to fight the urge to reassure that I like it in sex play. It’s not necessary to say that but I feel the need to say it anyway.
