MSNBC’s Joy Reid was downright giddy on Saturday morning, glorying at how Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has been tagged with the nickname “Moscow Mitch” that has stuck — causing the Kentucky Republican to pitch a fit.

Sharing clips of fellow MSNBC host Joe Scarborough repeatedly using the nickname during his “Morning Joe” broadcasts, the “AM Joy” host then showed McConnell taking to the mostly-empty Senate floor to complain about the name which has gotten under his skin like no other attack on his reputation.

On Saturday, former federal prosecutor Barbara McQuade told MSNBC’s Joy Reid that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) is “blinded by self-interest” in blocking election security bills — and that he “needs to be removed” if he cannot do what is right for the country.

“Can the public sue?” said Reid. “Is there a possibility that voters in this country who are at risk of being disenfranchised by foreign governments, is there a class action lawsuit that people could file demanding that their government protect us?”

On Saturday, Fox News reported that the Kentucky Democratic Party is claiming a haul of $200,000 from their line of “Moscow Mitch” merchandise that went live on their campaign webstore just two days ago.

Kentucky Democrats are selling T-shirts, bumper stickers, mugs, and beer cozies that mock Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell with the slogan, “Just say NYET! to Moscow Mitch.” They are also selling “Moscow Mitch” vodka shot glasses that are “also compatible with Kentucky Bourbon,” and even traditional Russian Cossack hats emblazoned with the Moscow Mitch slogan.

I meant equitarian....which could also be used to describe a person who is into horses but in a political context is a person who advocates equity as opposed to equality. I should probably just say leftist, at their foundation they're all after the same thing for the same reasons.
