Mueller

Well I hope Bob treats Congress like they treat him. Seymour Hersh says he's lost his fast ball, but I hope he still knows how to land a punch. I'd like him to blast Jordan and the twirp right out of the room! :D:D:D:D

I read the report and find that Muller did his best under the circumstances, following the law and DoJ guidelines. I would like him to ask the Committee, "It is in your lane to correct defective Presidential behaviour, are you going to do YOUR duty under the Constitution, or are you waiting for someone with balls?" :D

I'm afraid that Mueller will do the Marine (and it's about the reputation of me and my staff and the chain of command) thing and just regurgitate from the report. That will be valuable in itself, but what the country needs now is a brave person who calls it like it is and flips the finger to the White House lawyers, who are obstructing justice every thirty minutes right before our eyes. I don't see that person stepping forward and it's frustrating because anyone with a brain can see that Trump is the losing team in multiple ways, not least because he throws everyone under the bus and that he can't help voicing his criminality.

The best opening I see is if the Republicans go after him or those on his staff personally as has been done from the White House--and from some of those Republicans who will be questioning him.

I don't expect much. He has already said he is going to stick to what has been written in the report. He considers this a waste of time. The Dems want people to hear what he has to say in his own voice as they feel most people didn't read even the summary, but hearing the words from the report said aloud will make a bigger impact. Guess we will see.

I hope he says, I didn't feel that I had the authority to indict a sitting POTUS but you do.

It's the Barr report not the Mueller report. Barr gutted it.

I would be interested to know just who has an original copy, I would be pretty confident that Barr has rounded most of them up and doubt whether it will ever be published unredacted. Unless leaked, and that seems unlikely.

Sh*t Your Pants, Trump, It's Mueller Time! A Liveblog!

Wonkette's Evan Hurst
July 24, 2019 08:25 AM Live blogged the Hearing and reduced it to the the Democratic viewpoint. SO If you are a Trump Chump this may be infuriating, sorry .:)
A fragment:

9:16: Sheila Jackson-Lee has a visual aid, and it is the table of contents of Volume II, which lays out all the different instances of obstruction of justice Donald Trump may have committed. Ten of them, in fact! She is just reading from his report, the parts about how you ascertain whether an act was true obstruction of justice, and having him answer in the affirmative. He is saying "yes" a whole lot.

JACKSON-LEE: If you were convicted of obstruction of justice, would you go to JAIL?

MUELLER: Ayup!

And now it is time for another dipshit Republican, Jesus Christ, why are they even allowed in this room?

9:19: JIM SENSENBRENNER, THE IDIOT REPUBLICAN: If you can't indict a sitting president, then why are you investigating him? In America, the president is above the law if they are a Republican obviously!

MUELLER: That's not it.

9:23: Steve Cohen, Democrat of Tennessee, is now up.

COHEN: How did Trump react to your appointment?

MUELLER: Please refer to my report.

COHEN: OK, let's read it! He said, "I'm fucked."

MUELLER: That's what my investigators discovered, apparently!

9:25: COHEN: Let's talk about all the times Trump tried to get Jeff Sessions to unrecuse himself from the investigation! One time he called Sessions at home!

MUELLER: Yup!

COHEN: Is the attorney general the attorney general of AMERICA, or the consigiliere of the president?

MUELLER: The America one. Not the Roy Cohn's dead bloated corpse in hell one.

I laughed, :D,:D,:D,:D

Barr: “I like oak myself. That's what I have in my bedroom. How about you, Jimmie? You an oak man?”

If a person can avoid prosecution while president that statute of limitations should also freeze during that period

Amending statutes favoring political offices? Not really.

I don't know how the statute reads regarding federal prosecution for crimes but it seems logical to me that if a POTUS can't be indicted during their administration due to the demands of the office, then time should stop until they are out of office.

Theoretically, a John Gotti type character could get themselves elected POTUS and avoid prosecution.

I got the Mueller Report in the book format on the first day it was released to the public. New books come out on Tuesdays at all major bookstores. I read the whole of the book in two days. I also got a copy for my neighbor that teaches political science at the local college. I did see and talked to him around two weeks later, and he still did not have time to read the book. Someone teachers political science is not even interested reading the report.

The fact is, in general, people are not interested in politics. Reason being, politics has been turned into such refined talking points, cleared with the legal department, poll tested, saying something with it being idealist and not rational. That you can say so much without saying anything important.

It's been reported that members of congress haven't read the report as well as FBI director Wray

Interesting! How can you attack Mueller when you have not read the Mueller Report? Its like being in a English class and you have failed to read the book assignment, but, you have to write a 8 to 10 page book report. Republicans just want a gentlemen's C during their time in congress.

You're right but no Republican member of Congress can read 400+ pages. Hell, they couldn't read four pages.

Mueller pointed to far worse crimes by Trump than were used to justify impeaching Clinton (and this is not an argument not to have impeached Clinton--it's pointing to Trump's crimes being vastly greater and more varied than anything lodged against Clinton). Impeach the bugger and get him and more of his family and associates into prison. And send the board Trumpettes back to human decency school. Get this country back onto the road of human decency again. Take it out of the hands of the corrupt criminals and racists.
