Trump says "send her back" was wrong, putting deplorables in a tough spot

Except 45 has been profusely thanking the terrific Republican crowd for their enthusiasm.

Telling American citizens who work for the US government to go back to their country isn't nationalism, it's racism. Did he tell Bernie to go back to Israel?

But Trump’s been checked out and he’s clear. Trump could arrive at a rally in a white hood and lead his supporters to burn a cross on Obama’s lawn and he’d say, exasperated, “How is that racist?” Then Mike Pence would tell reporters, “Of course he’s not racist, some of his favourite slaves are black. Do you know, every Christmas he goes to an African church and throws a crate of bananas at them, because that’s how generous he is.”

Mark Steel

Ruth Ben-Ghiat, a history professor at New York University who is an expert on fascism and propaganda, saw historical parallels in the Greenville rally.

“Trump has created a corps of supporters fanatically loyal to him who turn his latest racist messages into group rituals (chants, slogans) and who hate the people he tells them to,” Ben-Ghiat told HuffPost.

“All of this is consistent with the leader-follower relationship of fascist regimes.”

No it's not luk....you still need to look up the word "racism" because you clearly have no idea what it means.

Words mean things Luk, here let me alleviate you of some of that glaring ignorance.
racism noun
rac·ism | \ ˈrā-ˌsi-zəm also -ˌshi- \
Definition of racism
1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2a : a doctrine or political program based on the assumption of racism and designed to execute its principles
b : a political or social system founded on racism
3 : racial prejudice or discrimination

Had Trump said "Black people are lesser citizens/humans/capable than white people." that would be racism.

Had Trump said "non-White people need to get out" that would be white nationalism and also racism.

But he didn't say anything of the sort.

He specifically said folks who deride and complain about the USA.

Not people of color, not non-whites, he never brought up race he specifically brought up their blatant distain for the USA.

Crowds chanting hateful slogans is a lot closer to Fascism than nationalism or populism.

with all due respect to the prof, i think there are plenty of us here who already recognised trump's tactics for what they are

I think saying that a country's legislators should all at least agree with the fundamental principles and right to exist of the country they are running, is hardly controversial.

You complain when he says they should choose to leave if they hate the country, you complain when he stands up for their fundamental right to stay nonetheless.

How does it feel to have looser principles than Trump?

Every time you post definitions you prove the opposite point. Escape your cannabis fog and breathe some fresh air, dude.
