Billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was arrested for sex trafficking dozens of minors in New York and Florida between 2002 and 2005, and will appear in court in New York on Monday, according to three law enforcement sources.

The arrest comes about 12 years after the 66-year-old financier essentially got a slap on the wrist for molesting dozens of underage girls in Florida.


The new charges allege that Epstein sexually exploited dozens of underage girls in a now-familiar scheme: paying them cash for “massages” and then molesting or sexually abusing them in his Upper East Side mansion or his palatial residence in Palm Beach. Several employees and associates allegedly recruited the girls for Epstein’s abuse, and some victims eventually became recruiters themselves, according to law enforcement. The girls were as young as 14, and Epstein knew they were underage, according to police.

Epstein is a longtime friend of Trump’s.

Prominent Donald Trump defender Alan Dershowitz has also been implicated in the scandal.

Trump’s Labor Secretary, Alexander Acosta, has been accused for violating federal law when he negotiated a plea deal for Epstein without notifying the victims.

The plea deal that protected Mr. Epstein from federal charges was signed by the top federal prosecutor in Miami at the time, Alexander Acosta, who is now President Trump’s labor secretary.
In February, a judge in Florida ruled that the prosecutors led by Mr. Acosta violated federal law when they failed to disclose Mr. Epstein’s nonprosecution agreement to his victims.

The agreement was negotiated in secret while victims were told prosecutors were still pursuing a possible federal criminal case.

Mr. Acosta has defended the handling of Mr. Epstein’s case, saying the plea deal sent Mr. Epstein to jail and guaranteed that he would register as a sex offender.

But lawyers for his victims have fought for years against a punishment they saw as too lenient.

The case received new public scrutiny after an investigative report published by The Miami Herald in November quoted four of Mr. Epstein’s victims, who are now adults, on the record for the first time.

One of the victims, Courtney Wild, now 31, was wearing braces when she first met Mr. Epstein. “Jeffrey preyed on girls who were in a bad way, girls who were basically homeless,” Ms. Wild told The Herald. “He went after girls who he thought no one would listen to and he was right.”

Investigators had identified more than 30 victims. The Herald said it located about 60.

In February, the Justice Department said it had opened an investigation into the nonprosecution agreement. The inquiry is reviewing whether prosecutors committed professional misconduct in their handling of the Epstein case.

Prosecutors have released a 14-page indictment against billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, and even just the first page is disgusting.

Federal prosecutors for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) say Epstein procured dozens of underaged girls, some as young as 14, and had them transported to his New York and Florida mansions.

Nobody is defending Bill Clinton. As Keith so well put it, if he ends up implicated with Epstein, then let him burn. Exactly the same way 45 needs to burn if he is too. That said, how about a comment from you of how 45 bragged about being able to walk in on underaged girls in various states of being undressed when he owned the Miss Teen USA pageant? It's a very short hop from that kind of activity to the more sordid details of being one of Epstein's "close personal friends." Add in Epstein taking the fifth during depositions when asked about 45 being at his parties with underaged females makes it more of a shuffle than a hop.

The real challenge for you is to comment on this (and pretty much anything else) without bringing up the Clintons, the Obamas, or Joe Biden. We all know that ain't gonna happen because your entire debating style is based in deflection, whataboutism, and moving the goalposts.

Bill Barr recused himself from the Jeffrey Epstein case — after questions about their relationship

According to CNN, Attorney General Bill Barr says he will recuse himself from anything involving the Jeffrey Epstein case.

While in South Carolina, Barr joined a firm that had represented Epstein. Barr’s father also hired Epstein to teach at the private Dalton school, despite him not having a college degree.

“I’m recused from that matter because one of the law firms that represented Epstein long ago was a firm that I joined for a period of time,” Barr said, according to a NBC News producer.
