Anyway, this sounded really interesting so I had to read it, but I was busy so it took me a few days. Have to say, I'm impressed by your story, it was very well written. Totally crushed my hopes of winning the contest, hahaha. Not that I'd thought I had a chance before anyway, but still. Nicely done, I'll definitely be checking out some of your other stories at some point when I have the time.

How did you find it was the 23rd? The URL puts it at 21 (so it'd be the 22nd if the original has no number, and the next one started at 1).

Must have mis-remembered the URL. Either way, when I searched for stories with the same title I only came up with seventeen. It looks like some of them have been removed.

My daughter and I went to "The Peach Tour" today. They sell fresh Georgia peaches. Drove up to see a line of people waiting. Some of them bought several boxes, each holding 1/2 bushel. Now I'm searching for recipes to try this week.

I can maybe a bushel every year. A lot of work, but it makes summer last all through winter.

My office partner used to have a peach tree and each summer he would bring in bags of tree-ripened peaches. They were just about the best fruit I've tasted, and his figs weren't bad either. But then the peach tree died. I haven't heard anything about figs yet.

Indeed. Theta waves on the other hand are associated with creativity, insight, dreams and deep meditation. It'd make sense you get a lot of creative ideas when your brain is basically running in VR-mode, constructing entire worlds and events around you. Although I believe that for lucid dreaming you suddenly propel up through the waves again, reaching beta or even gamma while still being asleep. Has been a while since I read up on it though, so don't quote me on that.

It seems like mine would be the first story with the name that I picked (unless that changed in the last few days). It's a simple wordplay too, was surprised to found out no one thought of it yet.

Edit: nope, still can't find any story with that name. Won't reveal it until I've submitted though, which should be tomorrow hopefully.

The morning has been slow and peaceful. Yesterday was filled with people visiting HM. Luckily, they came in small groups instead of all at once. Nice people all of them. Most were family with a few friends thrown in.

Today, we've enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch sipping our coffee and nibbling powdered donuts. The sun is bright and the leaves are green. She talked of working in the flower beds and maybe helping me in the shop.

We still have to go up and pickup her mother's ashes and clean out the house. Have a yard sale after the grand-kids get what they want. There is a freezer and two iceboxes that need cleaned out. Probably early next week after the rain gets out of here.

She is sleeping better as we get stuff planned out. She had a mental check list that was driving her nuts.

Then it was too hot and we came inside. She's napping in the living room and I'm pecking away here.

I've heard all the horror stories about LW, but it's kind of amazing to find out they're all true. At least you can laugh about it. Guess it makes a difference you already expected it to have this effect. In fact, seem to recall you saying you specifically wrote it to piss off and shock the audience there.

For any newbies thinking about posting in Loving Wives, I have troll proof suits and pillbox hats for sale at reasonable prices. The troll proof suits are navy surplus shark proof suits and the pillbox hats make ducking and covering quick and easy. Just squat down and close your eyes.

Scores are meaningless in that category and some of the comments are death threats. In most categories, the idea is to give the readers hard attacks. In Loving Wives the same applies but it is heart attacks.
