Trump defends Putin’s claim that democracy is dead with bizarre, confused rant about California

Ahead of the G20 summit in Osaka, Vladimir Putin told the Financial Times that “the liberal idea has become obsolete,” a line that drew sharp rebuke from the democratic world.

But when President Donald Trump was asked about the line by Peter Baker of The New York Times, he didn’t even appear to understand what Putin was talking about, responding with a confused rant about how terrible California is.

Nice start Donald, can you get any more stupid?

This was the week it became accurate to compare Trump to Hitler

The presidency of Donald Trump has been one horror after another — the endless lying, the coddling and worship of dictators, the rank incompetence and corruption of the people he has chosen to run government departments, the saber-rattling and about-facing with various enemies, the repeated attacks on voting rights and free speech and a free press, the countenancing of rank racism and white supremacy in Charlottesville and elsewhere, the personal corruption and grifting at his resorts and golf clubs, the reverence for a celebration of ignorance, the disdain for science and expertise, the constant tweeting and spewing of hate and stupidity and racism and misogyny and xenophobia — the list goes on. Add your own outrages at will.

And this was the week that we learned the government is spending $775 per child per day to house migrant children in the temporary tent camps it is running along the border and in southern Florida.

I take it that Trump's border wall is supposed to be equivalent to Hitler's Autobahn and Volkswagen.

Donald Trump Throws Himself Under Joe Biden's Bus

Later, ABC News's Jonathan Karl asked Trump to weigh in on that murder Kamala Harris committed Thursday when she critiqued Joe Biden's opposition to busing. Karl even gave Trump some context, not that it helped any:

I'm sure you saw the exchange between Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on the issue of federal busing — federally mandated busing. Biden thought that was a bad policy; he tried to stop it. Kamala Harris said it was an important part of desegregation, including in her own experience. Where do you stand on that issue of federally mandated busing?

Trump offered a weird non-answer answer:

And as far as that, I will tell you in about four weeks, because we're coming out with a certain policy that's going to be very interesting and very surprising, I think, to a lot of people.

Trump's going to release a new school desegregation policy? Or a busing policy? Or hell, maybe it'll be infrastructure week again. We bet the people it will be most surprising to all work in the White House, because they have no earthly idea what Trump was talking about.

So dazed, and still confused, the Trumpster just promises to have something in a few weeks.:)

Trump cruising to big Electoral College loss — according to model that predicted the 2018 blue wave

An election model that accurately predicted Democratic congressional gains last year is forecasting a big loss for President Donald Trump next year.

An election model that accurately predicted Democratic congressional gains last year is forecasting a big loss for President Donald Trump next year.

The question is who will the country select? Old Handsome Joe, or a real progressive who will kick the shit out of Mitch?

REVEALED: Maddow details all scientific advancements that Trump is trying to hide from Americans

MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow on Monday scolded the Trump administration for stopping the promotion of government-funded research done.

“The Trump administration has refused to publicize dozens of government-funded studies that carry warnings about the effects of climate change, defying a longstanding practice of touting such findings by the Agriculture Department’s acclaimed in-house scientists,” Politico reported.
“The studies range from a groundbreaking discovery that rice loses vitamins in a carbon-rich environment — a potentially serious health concern for the 600 million people world-wide whose diet consists mostly of rice — to a finding that climate change could exacerbate allergy seasons to a warning to farmers about the reduction in quality of grasses important for raising cattle,” Politico concluded.

Maddow put it into context.

“Scientists at that agency today have produced a whole litany of super consequential super practical stuff about climate change that the Trump Administration has been trying to ka-bosh and ensure that the findings from scientists never get distribute and never get publicized,” Maddow noted.

Glorious Leader don't care!

‘We’re not going to let it go’: Ways and Means Democrat blasts Trump for trying to ‘create new law’ on his tax returns

On Tuesday, Democrats on the House Ways and Means Committee filed a lawsuit against President Donald Trump’s Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service, for failing to render the president’s tax returns to the committee as required by law.

“Well, the argument is pretty simple,” said Kildee. “Section 6103 of the tax code says the chairman of the Ways and Means Committee can ask for a tax return and it shall be delivered to the chairman. It doesn’t say ‘unless it’s the president,’ it doesn’t say ‘unless the president is uncomfortable with delivering that particular tax return,’ the law is very clear. It is intended for a specific purpose, to allow the Congress to play the necessary constitutionally-mandated role to provide oversight and legislate on the best information we could get.”

“They have not complied with the section 6103, and they denied a subpoena that they should have answered,” said Kildee. “They are trying to create new law and say the administration does not have to answer to anybody, and obviously we think that is wrong, and we’re not going to let it go.”

Weeks late and less than emphatic. But still, better that the Oh My that is Congress' normal reaction.:)

Noted psychiatrist issues Trump alarm: The president may only see one terrifying escape from investigations

President Donald Trump may soon face the sort of reckoning from special counsel Robert Mueller that he’s never experienced before, and those who’ve closely studied him are deeply worried by how he’ll react once Mueller testifies before Congress

But losing that control could make Trump extremely dangerous, according to a forensic psychiatrist who edited The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump.
Report Advertisement

“He has very poor coping mechanisms when he is criticized or when he feels humiliated,” Yale psychiatrist Bandy Lee, “and at these points he generally goes into attack mode and he threatens others or tries to get revenge. The Mueller report is of a scale that is probably unlike what we have seen him undergo before.”

Keep up the pressure and he'll blow a gasket! Keep pushing Demonrats!:)

NRA’s implosion is making Trump’s re-election campaign ‘nervous’

The National Rifle Association has been roiled by controversy lately, leading top officials — like NRA executive Chris Cox — to resign. Former President Oliver North is being sued by the organization for “conduct harmful to the NRA” and New York State is re-examining the group’s tax exempt status.

Recently, NRA TV shut down, after top officials were accused of mishandling funds.

As Politico notes, Republicans are concerned.

“No organization has been more important to conservative voter education and engagement than the NRA. We all hope they’re able to mount the kind of effort in the 2020 cycle they have in the past,” Gregg Keller, a former American Conservative Union executive director, told Politico.

“But in case they can’t, given their current situation, I hope they’re being forthright about that within the movement so others can pick up the slack.”

“The situation has folks nervous,” he said.

Happy Birthday America, Trump Got You This Constitutional Crisis

Yesterday afternoon, two Justice Department lawyers had to go before a federal judge in Maryland and admit that everything they'd agreed to just hours before had been rendered inoperative by a presidential tweet. As US District Court Judge George Hazel put it on an emergency conference call, "I don't know how many federal judges have Twitter accounts, but I happen to be one of them, and I follow the President, and so I saw a tweet that directly contradicted the position that Mr. Gardner had shared with me yesterday."

To which Joshua Gardner, a lawyer in the Civil Division replied, "The tweet this morning was the first I had heard of the President's position on this issue, just like the plaintiffs and Your Honor. I do not have a deeper understanding of what that means at this juncture other than what the President has tweeted. But, obviously, as you can imagine, I am doing my absolute best to figure out what's going on."

King Donald the Dipshit Tweeted:
The News Reports about the Department of Commerce dropping its quest to put the Citizenship Question on the Census is incorrect or, to state it differently, FAKE! We are absolutely moving forward, as we must, because of the importance of the answer to this question.

Three days too late and several neurons short of a quorum, our Doddard still wants his question added to the Census. Bless his little Heart.:)

White House in ‘finger pointing’ mode as Fourth of July headed for disaster: ‘It’s going to be inauguration all over’

Speaking to CNN’s Anderson Cooper, New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman said that President Donald Trump’s Fourth of July celebration is already on track to be a failure — and White House officials, terrified of the president’s pet project ending in a bust, are already trying to assign blame.

“What are you hearing?” asked Cooper. “Is there concern in the White House about this event?”

“The concern in the White House is not so much about the use of military, or about the fact that the president has been focused on this kind of a display, basically since the Bastille Day celebration two years ago in France that he saw,” said Haberman. “It’s that there won’t be crowds. He wants there to be a huge turnout. He wants this to be, you know, a mega event.”

And God said, "Let there be rain on his parade!"

Kushner used a conference call with Arab and Israeli reporters to convey two kinds of messages to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas:

He criticized the Palestinian leadership's behavior around the Bahrain conference and called it "hysterical and stupid." He stressed that Palestinian leadership has made "a strategic mistake" not participating in the conference and not discussing a plan that is focused on prosperity for the Palestinian people.
On the other hand, Kushner stressed that Trump likes Abbas personally and wants to engage with him. "The door is always open for the Palestinian leadership. ... If they stop saying crazy things and engage, they will see there is an opportunity here," Kushner said. "We respect President Abbas and we believe he wants to make peace, and we want to give him the opportunity to try and do it."
Jared can talk out of both sides of his mouth.

Seems like a bad idea for a Jewish diplomat to refer to Muslim leadership as "hysterical and stupid."

I think a thunderstorm this evening might just improve Trump's viewer numbers.

Mr. President: When the Constitution Tells You to “Execute” the Law, It Doesn’t Mean It Wants You to Kill It

The Constitution requires a president to take care that the laws are “faithfully executed.”

Donald Trump seems confused about the meaning of “execute.”

If you tell somebody to “execute” something, you could mean it in the way gangsters do: Say, that you want Luca Brasi to sleep with the fishes. But there are other linguistic uses of the word. For instance, when the Constitution tells a president to execute the laws, it means it wants the president to enforce them. Not kill them.

Doddard has a Confuse!:)

‘Worst ever!’: Washington covered in smoke from Trump’s failed fireworks display

If Washingtonians were atop a building, far above the city, or watching at home on television, the city-wide fireworks display was easily seen. However, for those sitting on the National Mall, the massive display created so much smoke that half of the show was obscured.

Viewers in the city and visiting from around the country had hoped for the world’s biggest fireworks display, as promised by President Donald Trump.

A truly Trumpian display in D.C. as there was so much smoke that you had to be in Virginia to see them. $750K in fireworks, donated by Trump humpers in the Pyrotechnics Industry, accomplished only making Washington reek of sulphur, as if Satan had suddenly appeared at the Lincoln Memorial!

‘What a louse’: Trump slammed for ignoring gravity of strongest SoCal earthquake in 25 years that’s wreaking havoc

‘Swarms of Aftershocks’ But Trump Insists There are No Problems
Southern California residents experienced the strongest earthquake in a quarter-century on Independence Day, registering a magnitude of 6.6. One small town mayor talking live with CNN said there were at least eight aftershocks – the ninth one came on-air.

There are fires and gas line breaks, and that’s all that’s currently known, but President Donald Trump says there’s nothing to worry about.

Of course there's nothing to worry about. California didn't vote for Trump.

What ever you can say about Californians, they would never vote for a New York Real Estate sales man slime bag. We have our own slime bags, thank you very much. We need no new ones!:)

The first two minutes are impressive and spectacular. The next two minutes are decent, but shrouded. The remaining twelve minutes are a shitshow.

Donald Trump’s three-day golfing binge has commenced

“President Donald Trump began a three-day golf weekend Friday, making his 16th visit to his New Jersey golf club since entering office and pushing his total travel and security costs for his hobby to $108.1 million,” the Huffington Post reported Friday.

This was the 187th day of his presidency spent at a golf course Trump owns.

“That is two and a half times the number of days Obama had visited golf courses at the same point in his first term. And because Trump insists on playing at his own courses in Florida and New Jersey so much, his golf-associated costs to taxpayers are more than triple Obama’s figure through the same time period. Obama played the vast majority of his rounds at military bases within a short drive of the White House,” the report explained.

How many babies could be fed and washed for $108 Million?
