Does you avatar have meaning?

I am curious if your avatar has a meaning beyond face value.

Is it just a pic you like,? Does it represent a hobby, a book, a favorite piece of art etc? Is there a secret behind your avatar that you care to share?

I have had a few avatars in my profile over my tenure with Lit. This one now, reminds me of a time not too long ago where I was feeling very confident and assured in my life. It is a reminder to me that the only judgement I should listen to is the one I give myself. It's a reminder of sorts, that it is okay to be me.

At some point I will probably change it, but for now I like it.

I like this post!

Mine does! Beauty and the Beast is my favorite of the Disney franchise. They are my favorite love story because it's based upon pure personality, and not looks. Belle was the only princess who didn't need to be saved...she saved him. She was more than a "pretty princess", she just did her own thing, and loved him first on personality...if that makes sense.

Mine actually does! The anime series Sailor Moon greatly influenced my early teens and helped me to realise my sexuality. I had always been confused when I was younger, why I was attracted to girls as well as boys, and the show helped me to realise that attraction is fluid and love is all that matters.

Sailor Neptune was my very first girl crush :D

It sort of does. I have always been shy, but also a closet exhibitionist, so my av is kind of a statement about that. Like Shiva, I'm kind of releasing myself. But it's also all I could think of to do, so . . .

Absolutely yes. It's personal and intimate so I'll keep it to myself. I think the AV that people choose says a lot about them. Classy, erotic or artsy I enjoy. The dickatars are just yuck.

This one really doesn’t. It was just a photo I took of myself that made me feel pretty. In the past on my old account I had an av that meant everything to me.

I love this  I'm so glad you're able to be yourself!

Mine isnt necessarily deep but represents my love of music and one of my favorite bands of all time. For those that dont know its the artwork on the cover of Pearl Jams debut single "Alive"

Makes sense to me. I love a person that can do their own thing.

Love is all that matters (well to me anyways)!...well said.

Yes. It was what I choose to do in the US Navy and it has left it's stamp on me. A small segment of the Navy made up of men and women who were total professionals, who consistently busted their asses with a can do attitude. Hoo Yah Deep Sea! :)
