Does posting a 'chesty' online count?

Errr...by posting I mean in my profile.

Errr...by chesty I mean in a bra.

#modest

Ha! To date, there is a bra pic, a shoulder pic, a leg pic, and a naked back pic floating around.

I am in the very slow process of assembling a whole woman. :p

In a different context, this would get you on ID

Standing by with my lab coat and tesla coil to begin assembling DeepFake Endless Night

(totally safe to click on that EN :))

Oh! I laughed.

You know me too well.

I would never have clicked without that reassurance. :p

Are we talking Id, ego and super-ego?

Or is ID some cool new app that everyone has heard of except me?

Or….

I am…confused.

(Per usual. :p)

In the politically charged environment in which we all now live, how much does that bleed over into your Lit experience?

If you find out someone has different political or social issue viewpoints, does it have an impact on your Lit friendship? How about a full blown Litlationship - can you be romantically involved with someone who has views that oppose your own?

p.s. I don't want this to be a political discussion - just a question of how politics might play into your Lit experience. :)

Do different political views matter here on Lit?

- Generally speaking? No.

I'm something of a centrist, but if I had to use a label, I'd be libertarian. Which means my opinions veer left on some issues, to the right on others. I expect to be surrounded by dissenting views.

- Specifically speaking? Yes.

I steer clear of the extreme ends of the spectrum, right and left. I just do not have a good experience with that mindset.

If I think there might be a problem I usually say something up front. You know, tell them it's a pet peeve and that I'll be likely to jet if it crosses my comfort zone. Silly, really. Not once have I ever had anyone say, "Oh, okay. Maybe we should nip this friendship in the bud." Nope. It's always, "Oh, that absolutely won't be a problem."

One of my first Lit friendships turned into a serious crap show, in part, due to the above. I really should have known better.

This is not Lit-specifc, btw. I have this conversation with people real time.

Because I'm a weirdo.

One who fails to learn from experience. :p

I like this question.

For me, politics has no bearing on how I interact with a person. I lean rather libertarian. Like, an actual libertarian. Not one of these faux newby ones. With that said, that means that neither of the two main political parties agree with my opinions. They just enjoy being wrong.

But I actually care very little about politics in terms of a person. Like, there are good people on both sides. Bad people on both sides. Most of us reside in the middle 1 sigma. Differences usually just come from ideas on how the country is best managed. When we tell someone they are stupid for thinking the government should or should not do this and that, we really lose any chance of progress. I also disagree with the whole sky is falling mentality people have about politics.

With that said, I have been friends with extreme liberals and extreme conservatives. All good people, regardless of their agreements or disagreements with my political beliefs.

I have had two people here with whom I was really close stop talking to me because of my political leanings. Both labeled themselves progressive, which is very ironic to me. One was a dear friend who I enjoyed talking to very much who literally stopped talking to me because I didn't vote for Hillary. And, I didn't even vote for Trump. I voted for a third party. But she said she couldn't be friends with someone who was part of that. So, like a couple of days after the election was the last time we talked.

Don't be Papa C. Answer your own question!

I am a man without a party, so if I don't associate with other views I'm basically in a room talking to myself. I can't find a party that I agree with enough to call myself one of them. I have friends/family who are all over the place politically so it doesn't bother me as long as the person can make a realistic argument that isn't overly emotional, irrational or makes me think "Oh, I get it, you hate your father!" :)

Generally, I don't want to know anyone's politics at all and it turns me off completely when people interject their views where it isn't warranted. Also, I certainly don't come to an erotic website to talk politics, so that's also a turnoff. That said, I am always open to a real life, intelligent discussion and hearing anyone's beliefs as long as they aren't crazy (by my interpretation).

None of this made sense. Kind of like politics! :D

Well presented, Pmann. And related to what I was trying - in a much less well-presented fashion - to say.

I dislike dealing with people incapable of separating me from my political views.

Even less do I like, when dissension becomes obvious, having every conversation turned to the political point in question in an attempt to browbeat or shame me into changing my view. (Seriously, does that ever work?)

I am content for you to believe as you see fit. Do me the curtesy of extending the same respect.

I've also lost friends over this type of thing, which I find distressing. Or perhaps I should qualify that as having lost the illusion of friendship. If my worth resides only in my agreement with your particular ideology how much value could you have possibly held for me in the first place?

Note: I feel I might have slandered political extremists. Oops. Apologies. Just my experience, so a small sampling. Mileage may vary. :cattail:

Can you condense this down to fit on a bumper sticker?

'Cause I would buy.

Just sayin'

:D

Condensed: He places value in certain things by both parties, therefore they oppose him because he doesn't wholeheartedly pick one over the other. Okay, not condensed, but that's what it means.

Political views don't matter to me much here. It's not like we're electing a leader. If we needed a leader it would be a dicktatorship with pmann at the helm.
It's actually kind of a turn off to me if someone is super impassioned and doesn't stop posting about the political beliefs.

I'm thinking that still won't fit on a bumper sticker.

I talk politics with very few, and never on the boards.

At times I question the lack of empathy, sympathy and general compassion when I see someone very strongly opinionated on a issue.
Nothing in life is black and white and that goes with politics as well.
I tend to attract people who love grey like myself.

This is an exceptionally good answer and pretty much how I handle the political discourse thing. One of those life lessons learned and I've stuck to it.

I also have similar thoughts on the strongly opinionated viewpoint types.

I propose a politics-themed orgy where folks with opposing viewpoints can hate-fuck it out.

And for those in the grey area...maybe they swing both ways?

IDK Suz… some good hate fucking sounds pretty appealing.;) The heck with the politics.

politics and Lit? i don’t see a favorable pairing of the two. i get enough of the real thing in RL. to me, Lit is an escape from politics and other RL bs. on Lit, id rather opine on the alluring curves of your body, the seductive attraction of your words, and the entertainment of your wit. you know, the simple things.
