███████████ Mueller Investigation Results Thread ███████████

In order to get an insight into Barr's thinking on obstruction it is well worth the time to review his June 8 2018 letter to Rod Rosentein and Assistant Attorney General Steve Engel. It is a superior analysis of Mueller's interpretations of obstruction under federal statutes, the Constitution, DOJ guidelines, and the reasons why it was wrong:

And Trump hired him after this was sent.. what a shocker!!!

Snip:

The same problem exists regarding the President’s comments about Flynn. Evenif the President’s motives were such that, under Mueller’s theory, he could not have ordered termination of an investigation, to what extent do comments short ofthat constitute obstruction? On their face, the President’s comments to Comey about Flynn seem unobjectionable. He made the accurate observation that Flynn’s call with the Russian Ambassador wasperfectly proper and madethe point that Flynn, who had nowsuffered public humiliation from losing his job, was a good man. Based on this, he expressed the “hope” that Comey could “see his way clear”tolet the matter go. The formulation that Comey “see his wayclear,”explicitly leaves the decision with Comey. Most normal subordinates would not have found these comments obstructive.

Of course!! Trump was just worried about him!!!

Who to believe... the Director of the FBI.. or the child president with 10000 plus lies in a little over 2 years?

James Comey: How Trump Co-opts Leaders Like Bill Barr
Accomplished people lacking inner strength can’t resist the compromises necessary to survive this president.

Snip:

How could Mr. Barr, a bright and accomplished lawyer, start channeling the president in using words like “no collusion” and F.B.I. “spying”? And downplaying acts of obstruction of justice as products of the president’s being “frustrated and angry,” something he would never say to justify the thousands of crimes prosecuted every day that are the product of frustration and anger?

How could he write and say things about the report by Robert Mueller, the special counsel, that were apparently so misleading that they prompted written protest from the special counsel himself?

How could Mr. Barr go before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday and downplay President Trump’s attempt to fire Mr. Mueller before he completed his work?

Why? What's there to hide ALL OF A SUDDEN? What changed in a week? What about trump being the most transparent ever!!!!!

Trump told reporters in the Oval Office last week that testimony from Mueller was "up to our attorney general." Barr has said he has no objection to Mueller testifying.

The president tweeted after a Democrat on the committee said he was hopeful Mueller would testify, noting that May 15 has been proposed.

===

President Donald Trump said Sunday that special counsel Robert Mueller should not testify before Congress, abandoning his previous declaration that he would leave that decision to his attorney general.

Escalating tensions with House Democrats as they seek to bring Mueller before the House Judiciary Committee, Trump tweeted: "no redos for the Dems." He added: "Are they looking for a redo because they hated seeing the strong NO COLLUSION conclusion?"

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

To debate any subject, one must first be able to objectively look at all facts and consider them into their overall conclusions. That also is true for the other side of the debate. The ability to see facts and apply them to one's argument is necessary for proper communication during the debate. Half truths and uninformed opinions are toxic to the overall conclusion of the debate. If one side is not objective, there is no point to the debate. If one side cannot choose facts as talking points, there is no point to the debate. If one side makes false statements from rumor or half truths, there is no point to the debate.

Sounds like this whole thread is a wash.

Well; I read it and that's EXACTLY what I was trying to tell everybody. LOL! LOL! LOL

What I took from his letter, brilliantly written, is that, if obstruction of justice encompassed such a broad scope and definition then our whole judicial system would grind to a halt. Every negative comment said or done at the executive level during a pending investigation could be interpreted as a form of obstruction. At the presidential level it would handcuff the president from discharging the duties
( hiring and firing) of U.S. attorneys for fear of interfering with a case that that particular U.S. attorney was involved in. It would stymie critical thought and decision making for fear of judicial or political reprisal. Twist the statute to fit any situation.

Yeah, no.

The premise of the thread was, "Just you WAIT!! The RESULTS of the Mueller report are COMING. Trump is in trouble then!"

It's here, snowflakes are maniacally creating goal-posts for sports, yet to be invented. The lost, they are whining, They are embarrassing themselves.

Oh, shit.

My mistake. I thought that the Mueller report saying definitively that no Americans were found to a coordinated with any Rooskies in the ineffectual efforts that the Russians had made towards influencing the election included Donald John Trump.

If Little Dick Durbin saw Trump looking "googly-eyed" around Putin, that clinches it.

They need to start impeachment proceedings now!
