Nonsense. Phrodeau showed the math. As long as you shield the entire planet, including the oceans, with solar panels that convert 100% of the sun's energy hitting the earth and send the electricity from the sunny side to thr dark, it is totally doable on solar alone.

It wouldn't even take that.

The problem is the technology doesn't exist and likely never will.

The human race forgot how to science. Just read ANYTHING posted by Von BS... You'll understand...

Strong words coming from a guy who has an emoticon giving a bj to another emoticon in his avatar.

If you want me to take you seriously, do better.

Isn't it time for you to do another irrelevant cut and paste to demonstrate how you are the board's self declared expert on scientific theories, von_B.J.?

Oh, you're still around? I thought you tucked tail, already.

I know you’re weak on math, but I showed that the sun provides over 8,500 times more energy than people are using.

Memory problems? I source my electricity through a solar energy provider. My electric bill went down as a result.

That is not what I asked. Why are *you* not adding to the paltry 2% that solar and wind combined provide of our <electrical> energy needs?

Because the building is already getting it's energy from solar, and I doubt the property owners would appreciate my modifying their roof.

No it usn't.

It might be slightly more believable though if you would move your imaginary residence back to Houston Canada. And go back into the HV AC trade.

How do you suppose that the power company for this imaginary building that you live in as an imaginary renter separates out the electrons that come from solar to send those specifically to your imaginary building considering that the percentage of power generated in your imaginary City by solar is 1.5%?

I'm gay. But I didn't feel like having an explicit Avatar. Sue me.

I'd be shocked if you took me seriously. You are so wrapped up in your own self approval party you don't have the capacity to comprehend anything that contradicts your world view.

Makes you a shit scientist in my opinion, assuming you even work in a technical field.

His antique degree has science in the title but I don't think computer science really has very much to do with solar power.

Bitches be thirsty.

And neither does anything you have..
But that doesnt stop you from knowing better huh?

For the record, for anyone reading who might care, I don't have a degree in computer science. My degrees are elsewhere.

Not thirsty. Just amused. Your self importance knows no bounds.

Self importance? Hardly. It's no great insight that many here fail to understand much about the body of science information, or about the scientific process. But if it makes you feel better about yourself to insult me, then you do you.

I didn’t know they gave out degrees in stupid....but hey....it appears so....you got one.
If it’s not in stupid, call the school. Demand you money back.

See that's the thing. The few things you actually stated about science are a bunch of BS.

Look, you're FAR from the first person I've known with "degrees". And honestly, you don't come across as someone that truly comprehends. You come across like a couple of college profs I've had (and not the good ones LOL).

You just don't get it. What makes it amusing (and maybe just a little sad, too) is, I think that you really DO think that you do.

Isn't that basically the plot to Soylent Green?

Great.

We've got one yammerhead trying to feed us human flesh. Another genius wants to cork all the volcanoes. And now YOU want to figure out what flavor of nuclear winter we're having.

Wait a sec. I thought the earth was WARMING?

You see no hypocrisy in bitching about human caused global warming while promoting laboratory mystery "meat" and corking volcanoes so they don't emit too much carbon?

Are you really, really certain on that?

On that note, I'm going to take a crap and go to bed, gents. After I turn up the thermostat.

These were your first posts to me in this thread. It went downhill from there. So don't wonder why I don't take you seriously, or why you're held in a certain amount of contempt. It should be obvious why, even to you.

Pull out a few books. Take the time to study and learn. Improve yourself. And maybe you won't have to nurse this inferiority complex of yours.

Now go back and read "you're" posts to which I was responding. They didn't merit a serious commentary.

Perhaps I was rude, though. Sorry for that. But in the time since then I've read enough of your postings to legitimately hold you in contempt.
