My mother is 2nd gen American with German/Swedish and Norwegian/Nisqually parents.

As time moves on, Trump's crimes keep building up. If you think that mainstream Republicans want to support Trump, you're the one being naïve. The Mueller Report gives them an opportunity to separate (Romney has dipped his toe again--not enough, certainly, but he obviously wants to take the anti-Trump plunge). Being forced to face an impeachment vote isn't anything like what they've been faced with before. What's to lose to do it other than guilt and failure to live up to responsibility?

Plus, as Warren has pointed out, if we don't respond to the formal indictment of Trump, held back only by the stated DOJ restrictions on indicting a sitting president, we have fucked ourselves forever on what the system response has to be to such traitor against his country behavior.

I've really come to a place of inner peace when I read all the accounts of people totally ignoring, or blatantly disregarding so many direct orders from a president or the United States. He is what I've always thought he was. Bumbling idiot, stupid to no end, and not really in charge of anything. He has handlers instead of aides and advisors.
