███████████ Mueller Investigation Results Thread ███████████

I like how when Sarah Sanders was put under oath, she candidly admitted that she made up the sound bite about "FBI agents support Trump".

In a perfect world, she'd have resigned in shame today. But the world is not perfect and Sanders has no shame, so she keeps her job and BotanyBoy never spends one fucking dime out of pocket for his health care. The lack of accountability and personal responsibility today is appalling.

That's business as usual in Orange Trainwreck Land...

Lie, deflect, project, bullshit.. whatever it takes as long as it doesn't involve the truth.. or any sort of intelligence.

Sad.

queball and botanydummy post their usual stupid shit.. everyone else posts facts.

‘I’m f***ed’

After calling the investigation into his ties with Russia a “witch hunt” from the start, Trump was not pleased when Mueller, a former FBI director appointed by President George W. Bush, was selected as the special counsel. That appointment came in the aftermath of Trump’s firing of FBI Director James Comey.

“Oh my God. This is terrible,” Trump told then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Sessions’s chief of staff, Jody Hunt, when he learned about Mueller’s appointment. “This is the end of my Presidency. I'm f****ed.”

=============

The investigation began with Papadopoulos

Actually, this was common knowledge, but it could come as a surprise to Trump supporters who get their information from his speeches or Trump-friendly news sources.

For two years, Trump and his defenders have claimed that the investigation of his campaign was prompted by the “fake dossier” (also sometimes called by him the “phony dossier”) compiled by former British spy Christopher Steele

The third paragraph of the report, without mentioning the dossier specifically, demolishes this argument:

“In late July 2016, soon after WikiLeaks's first release of stolen documents, a foreign government contacted the FBI about a May 2016 encounter with Trump Campaign foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos. Papadopoulos had suggested to a representative of that foreign government that the Trump Campaign had received indications from the Russian government that it could assist the Campaign through the anonymous release of information damaging to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. That information prompted the FBI on July 31, 2016, to open an investigation into whether individuals associated with the Trump Campaign were coordinating with the Russian government in its interference activities.”

Grasp at those straws. . .

Papadopoulos was FED the (false) information he was spreading. What part of the unequivocal characterization of "No Evidence" are you having trouble with?

Dance, monkey, dance!

Once again, and still... You don't know what the fuck you're talking about, ball licker.

Add something even remotely intelligent for a change.. dumbass.:rolleyes:

“if we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the President clearly did not commit obstruction of justice, we would so state."

--Robert S. Mueller

In other news, "We cannot definitively show that Trump has stopped beating his wife. If we had evidence of that, we would so state."

How does one prove one did not do something?

If he obstructed an investigation that had no predicate crime to investigate, he did a pretty poor job of it. He did not even do a good job of utilizing well-established protections of executive privilege. Unlike the past administration, he claimed it not at all.

There was criminal activity by person or persons unknown in the Obama Administration over fast and furious. With actual criminal activity asserted executive privilege does not apply. Obama invoked executive privilege anyway while claiming he was not consulted. No consultation, no provlege... and Eric Holder (A co-conspirator in the Fast & Furious rebacle) backed him up.

At no point in the entire report does Mueller assert that his "investigation" was obstructed. At all.

You watch Fox news?

I was always skeptical about that "study" that claims Fox News Viewers are less informed. I may have to reconsider.

Pence has been remarkably quiet on the whole thing, hasn't he? no doubt waiting in the wings, hoping don steps over the mark enough to get the boot so he can step graciously into the spotlight and resume his plans. yes, he is kinda scary, and in a very different way to the don.

I give tomorrow's NY Times front page a 50:50 chance of giving President Trump an aneurysm. Entire front page devoted to Mueller.

Easy.

A wife claims she was severely beaten on such and such a date.

The investigators find video of the wife dancing in a bar happy as a clam on the night she said she was attacked.

OR

They have photographs of her in a bikini the next day with no bruises or marks like she claimed.

OR

They can prove the husband was out of town at the time.

Voila. Proof that someone did not do something.
