Snack plate here. Leftover steak with cheese, crackers and berries.

Now it's after dinner coffee and relaxation. It's good to be going into the weekend tomorrow.

:D my bucket of fucks is pretty low right now

garden's coming along so well now - corn, zucchini, peas, big toms and cherry ones, onions, sweet and bell and banana peppers, cucumber, okra, broccoli, carrots, chard... hmmn, potatoes still to get in and sweet potatoes (mostly H's hard labour)

no green beans yet, but only putting in a few of those since we've carrier bags full still in the freezer, not all from last year, either!

I miss being able to grow veggies. It's just not very feasible down here. Critters and extreme weather tend to make it very challenging. And I won't spray the poisons.

i think the rabbits will still be having a feast when the plants start getting going

I used to grow potatoes in containers. Wasn't much of a fan of cherry tomatoes but the big beefsteak type were good. I also liked doing broccoli, lettuce and carrots. Lettuce and carrots were also good in containers. I had onions and garlic scattered throughout my roses to keep the bugs away.

Gardening is very different down here.

Trumplicans are pulling overtime tonight. Sheesh.

he's got republicans so invested in protecting him that they're forgetting about protecting the office of presidency and what it represents on the world stage. so much so, they're denying, deflecting, and minimising the sort of actions they'd have never accepted from former presidents - of either side of the house.

I was away from news for most of the day. But I kinda expected the Trump news would be terrible, after I saw the sheer volume of RWCJing. :D

thankyou, rain. the veggies are dancing their happy dance, and the pressure's slightly relieved in my head... the drive has become a black, glistening river lit by the burning orange of the sodium lights.

on another note, :( -> 3 dead rats. yeah, they're rats, but i still mourn them having to die. about 3 or 4 more and they'll be all eliminated. at least their deaths are swift, and not poison-painful.

looks like the whitehouse is pretty much a nightmare of a place to work under the don; he threatens, rants and raves, tosses out orders that get ignored or delayed in hopes he'll forget he issued them, aides 'misplacing' or simply not passing on his messages, and all because the things he demands are illegal. if those people had acted on his orders, fired those he demanded fired, they'd have been culpable, themselves, of criminal activity.

One would think if they were as happy as they keep insisting they wouldn't be so bitchy and grumpy.

When I go into their threads I keep expecting to hear "get off my lawn!" or some such. And well... yeah.
