Suggest you ask this on the Authors' Hangout. There are a number of British authors on Lit.
I'm not from the UK - I'm Australian - but I have written some stories set in England. These are:
Switchboard Girls, Soldiers & Sirens - Set during the WW2 Blitz in Sussex in 1941, two female cousins meet two Scottish soldiers after an air raid.
The Night Louise Left the TV On - Set in London during the swinging 60's, Louise is a typist who has a supernatural encounter late one night in 1966.
The Coal Miner & the Conservative - Set in Yorkshire in 1984 during the UK Miner's Strike, a young miner named Gary meets Felicity, an especially stuck up and opinionated member of the Young Conservatives and sparks fly.
Also, while my story 'The Squabbling Stepsisters' is not set in the UK but Canberra Australia in 2009, the characters of Polly and her mother Lisa are from Manchester England.
If you use the tag 'England' you will be able to find these and other UK stories by other authors. I hope you like them.

My one-page Make Me Scream! with O.Henry ending is set near Ipswitch in the 1600's or so. I've not visited the UK so anything I set there will be as real as Kafka's AMERIKA or Brecht's MAHAGONNY but with more fucking.

Reminds me of those old sex comedies like the Carry On series or the Adventures series - lots of eye rolling and phwoar-ing but almost never any naughty bits actually appearing on screen. I remember discovering some old VHS tapes of these at my uncles. Amazing how many respectable British character actors were in them. Might be interesting to see some of them rewritten and updated for 21st century literotica.
