I don't know how you do that.

I'm pretty sure I will miss the deadline. But I like the story I'm working on so I'll submit it before too long whenever I finish it, even if it doesn't get included in the event.

Huh. I checked to see the go live date and my story had a "A Poem for Jen Ivory" in the authors note at the head of the story. I did not insert that so deleted and resubmitted. Weird.

Alas, none of mine are finished. The new job has been a writing killer over the last month. I’m going to finish them this weekend and submit anyhow. Maybe Laurel and HeyAll will take pity on a poor struggling waif and allow them to be added late seeing as it’s not a competition.

By chance, I caught my EC entry within ten minutes of when it posted early this morning. All three EC entries already had two votes, each entry with a rating of 2.00. So, within minutes, all three were hit with either two 2 votes or a 1 and a 3 vote. What a coincidence.

I noticed that too for this event.

I've always noticed that with the last contest. Once posted at late night, the new contest stories where hit with low scores.

Only happens to event/contest stories.

Sadly I missed this. Just couldn't sit to write. Then a whole new story popped up on Tues and got mostly written in about 6 hours. But it's not fit to post yet.

I’ve got two almost done and one close. This weekend. That’s all I need.... and next weekend to finish my One Night stories and then it’s Geek time.

I caught mine with, like, 8 or 9 votes, and it had pretty clearly had a few bombs already. I don't worry about scores anyway until the story has been up at least most of a day, but good to know it wasn't just me, I guess.
