This is not The Onion. Wind turbines cause cancer.
I'm being honest here. That is not the headline from The Onion but instead . . . yeah, you guessed it. No need to even say its name.
At the National Republican Congressional Committee's annual spring fling, the con artist said wind turbines cause cancer. More specifically, the noise from wind turbines cause cancer.
Needless to say, not a single Republican said anything about this obvious conspiratorial lie. After all, when the leader of your party has already said 9,000 lies, what's another one to add to the pile?
One person who did say the comment was idiotic was Republican Chuck Grassley of Iowa. It should be noted, Grassley has been subsidizing wind turbine installations for the past 26 years and at this point, Iowa gets 40% of its electricity from wind generation. Iowa also gets hundreds of millions (billions?) of federal subsidies for its ethanol production, but that's just a liberal lie.
When asked to comment on the idiotic statement, Iowa Republican Governor Kim Reynolds had this to say:
So yeah. The noise of wind turbines cause cancer and Republicans are onboard with it.
As a side note, the con artist also said, in regards to the fake national emergency:
Which nicely explains why he is such a failure at all his business endeavors.

Sen. Chuck Grassley said in a conference call with reporters Wednesday that the comments "were first of all idiotic and it doesn't show much respect for Chuck Grassley as the grandfather of the wind energy tax credit."
When asked to comment on the idiotic statement, Iowa Republican Governor Kim Reynolds had this to say:
"You know how those things change. One year coffee is good for you and the next year coffee causes cancer," she said. "That's what happens. We've got a lot of people that are driving the industry and investing in the industry and we should be proud of our position."
So yeah. The noise of wind turbines cause cancer and Republicans are onboard with it.
As a side note, the con artist also said, in regards to the fake national emergency:
"Security is more important to me than trade,"
Which nicely explains why he is such a failure at all his business endeavors.
