In a story I am working on a character has an obsession with a famous person. He discovers a look alike for that person and promptly seduces her. I use the famous person's name a lot such as, "You look just like Taylor Swift!"

Is that legal?

That's not a problem at all. Hell, you can even have it turn out to really be Taylor Swift if you want.

Yes. If you read the "Celebrity" half of the Celeb + Fanfic category here you'll find plenty of stories that go beyond "looks like" to fictional encounters with RL celebrities.

Apparently, it is ILLEGAL to stalk and kidnap said celebrity though. :(

Hmmm... that sounds like a sloppy workaround, but indeed, while non-consent with a supposed celebrity/copyrighted character is prohibited, a lookalike nobody may not enjoy such protection (at least as long as they enjoy it somehow at the end).

MC stalks the body double | stand-in | identical twin | whatever. For fun, both MC and celeb rape the double, who smiles later because LIT. Maybe celeb and double regularly setup stalkings and seemingly-forced fuckfests; the current MC is only the latest, and is soon discarded for the next. Kinks ensue.

I am not sure how to introduce a new thread, so I hope you don't mind me using this one to ask my question.

When my friend and I write naughty fantasies for one another we often use internet pictures to illustrate various naughty scenes. A sort of comic book story.
When we decide to submit a particular story to Literotica we deliberately delete the pictures according to Literotica rules.
What puzzles us is that throughout other parts of Literotica we see internet or similar pictures depicting quite rude scenes. If they are allowed there why cant they be depicted in the Literotica stories?

Thanks to all that commented. I was aware of the celebrity stories on here but I'm planning on putting this book on Smashwords, so was unsure if the references were a no-no or not.

Probably because the pics in forum threads are all links off to other hosting sites, and the other site inherits any breach of copyright issues that might arise. Whereas if photos are embedded in stories, a possible breach of copyright matter would fall on Lit as the publisher, and they have elected to avoid this by making it harder to submit photo illustrated stories. You can do it, but the author must signify they own all original images. That's probably/possibly the reason - ownership of the original content.

Edit: just read Bramblethorn's much better explanation - duh, me. That's the main reason :).

There's a "new thread" button on the forum view - see attached image below.

I'm not sure whether you're referring to banner ads, or illustrated stories, or other stuff on this site, but the basic rule is that Literotica does not host explicit photos (penetration etc.) This is due to US laws which require websites hosting explicit photo/video to keep records confirming that all models/performers are over 18.

The stuff you do see is generally covered by one of the following cases:

- It's not explicit enough to cause issues (e.g. cheesecake-y stuff in the Illustrated Stories).
- It's not a photo (you don't have to keep records for cartoons etc.)
- It's not hosted on Literotica (forum picture threads are generally hotlinking to stuff that's hosted elsewhere, presumably same for ads)
- It's a user icon, and although explicit icons are against the site rules, this doesn't seem to be enforced much.
