Hello Lit Authors! :D

Today we rolled out an update to the Lit Control Panel that includes a new interface for the Literotica Editors Program.

We did some additional work to improve the entire Control Panel, so we need your feedback and reports if you notice anything unexpected while using it after the update. I am extra interested in any reports about issues with submitting or managing stories.

One small thing you'll likely notice is that we changed the date on stories listed in your "Published" list from the Submitted date to the Published date. If you notice any dates that look wrong, please let us know. It's possible that we'll need to fine tune the dates once we get feedback from more authors.

Thank you. :D

Note to everyone: You may need to hold shift and then push refresh on your browser to get the new page. I did.

If everything is attributed to anonymous and story titles are missing from your activity, do the shift + refresh.

Thank you for the suggestions for authors having problems! We had one other report about anonymous comments, so that's probably the same issue. I didn't have the issue myself, but as you know, testers often see different things than real live users. :D

Yep, first thing... Anon all over the place and my stories wouldn't load. Shift Refresh fixed it right up.

So far so good... although some things seem to be slow in loading. My Followers is one that is slow.

I saw a new editor in the list. ;)

Breaking with the time-honored tradition of only reporting problems, I'm delighted to report that everything looks to be working properly with my CP. I haven't submitted anything at this point but the editor's section looks great and I resorted them using several of the filters. :D

I use the downloadable table from the "Works" page to keep track of views and to keep track of voting on new stories. The table used to be sorted alphabetically, and that's how my spreadsheet is constructed. The table is now sorted by date, which means I either need to re-sort the the table every time I use it, or I need to revise my spreadsheet.

Are you going to keep the table as it is now, sorted by date? If so, then I'll change my spreadsheet.

Let me check on this and see if we can get it back to how it was before. Thank you for the report! :D

Thank you for checking!!

For my sake it doesn't need to stay like it was. I can be flexible. I don't know how others using the table will feel about it.

In fact, if I got to choose how it was ordered, I'd prefer to have it sorted by date, but with the most recent entry first, rather than last.

Wow, I didn't even know that feature existed so thanks for mentioning it NotWise. :)

Had to refresh as all stories had disappeared and the comments read anon.

However:

I see the comment numbers are updating instantly beside the story. However those comments aren't available to moderate. Before the numbers never updated until they were released from Lit's moderation. When the numbers updated I knew I could moderate

This means I have to go back time after time looking to see if they've been released yet. Very time consuming and frustrating on the author side.

Glitch or planned? If planned... I definitely don't like it!

I can't access the control panel. It just says it's loading and nothing else happens. I'd hit shift and reload but I'm using an iPad, so it doesn't work that way.

You'll probably have to clear your cookies and cache via your browser menu on a mobile device.

Manu, what are the guidelines for this? What's the new page supposed to do, how does it work, and what do we do?

The Control Panel itself should be mostly the same. The feature added here is the Editors Program. It was available in the old Control Panel and we are re-adding it now. It really needs updating, but the old info on the Editor Program is here:

Manu, I looked the editors secrion over and especially the list by date. The problem I see is that whatever the poster wrote, you only see a line and a half.

475 pages worth? Uh, I'd thing anything older than three months should be out of there. Maybe a year at the most.

Is this about access to a hopelessly broken (for other reasons that access to the list) volunteer editor program at Literotica? I'm not clear on that and am doing fine with the old control panel.

I have a pending story that I posted the day before yesterday, it's now flagged new so it'll go out with the next round. When I try to preview the story I get a "Server Error" message that pops up on top of the buttons and no preview. It was definitely working yesterday.

Not sure if it's related (or specific to me) - just reporting in case it is due to this update.

Just wanted to add to my last post that I had a friend check and we both have the same issue previewing pending stories. I am able to view the preview on drafts, though.

All activity is showing up as anonymous again on my control panel🌷Kant
