Lit Control Panel Update with Editors Program - Need Feedback

Comment Flag

Not a big deal, but one of my stories shows a new comment on the control panel, but I can't find the comment anywhere else yet. I assume it's in the moderation queue. Otherwise things look sharp. I also noticed that the downloadable stats are in a new format, but all the numbers look right which is the only thing I care about.

Thanks for all the efforts

Another minor thing... E.g. a score of 4.80 is now given as 4.8. It looks neater if all scores are given with two decimal precision, as they were before.

Shortening scores and shortening views does me a disservice.

I am not able to upload a new story to my data base. Why is this? I have never had problems before

Has anyone noticed an uptick in comments or any changes since the new panel was brought in?

I really appreciate being able to see when someone I'm following publishes a new story, so I'll read them much quicker than when I remembered to check their profiles, once a month or so.

Do you mean since the new panel was introduced way back when, or when the latest iteration was released a fortnight or so ago?

What is a tad annoying is that Author Profile updates don't seem to be circulated any more. I get new story notifications from those I follow (as Redzinger talks about), but I've not seen a profile update for I don't know how long, several months, probably. Annoying because that's where I'll be notifying upcoming ebooks, but if my followers don't get the update, they're not going to get curious. It was feature of the NCP that used to work for quite a while, but it's obviously tied up with the busted profile update glitch.

Thank you for the feedback. We are aware of this change and it was made intentionally to match the stats format of the new site design shown here:

We aren't against moving back to number padding in the future if people prefer that format.

Are you still having an issue with submitting a new story? If so, can you let me know what error you are getting and where on the site?

Thank you and sorry for the problem.

Gonna continue to ignore the Forum Profile bit, eh?

You should still get updated when an author you follow updates their profile. I just did a few tests and I got notifications each time someone I was following updated their location or biography. If you find any specific author updates where you didn't see them in your activity feed, please let me know and I will be happy to investigate further.

You should be able to check the last time a member updated their profile (Last Modified date) on the public profile bio screen here:

Thank you.

Sorry for being OT, but does anyone know the current queue time please?

My apologies.

What's happening is that folk I'm following aren't updating their profiles... the system is fine :).

I use the downloadable table from the "Works" page to keep track of views and to keep track of voting on new stories. The table used to be sorted alphabetically, and that's how my spreadsheet is constructed. The table is now sorted by date, which means I either need to re-sort the the table every time I use it, or I need to revise my spreadsheet.

Are you going to keep the table as it is now, sorted by date? If so, then I'll change my spreadsheet.

Downloadable how, please? Not seen on my screen.

Right in the red circle...

OK, 'nother question, please. What the difference between the last two columns" In Reading Lists vs Reading Lists?

Very nice feature, BTW. Thanks, Manu.

Good question. "In reading lists" is the same as the number of favorites on the "Works" list. I don't know what the "Reading lists" number is.

Let me check on this and see if we can get it back to how it was before. Thank you for the report! :D

I noticed this morning that the table is back to be alphabetically ordered. Thanks!

The Reading List will be a separate list people can add stories to in order to do just that, read later.

Once it's implemented and people realize it's there, it should end the common practice of using favorites as a bookmarking feature.

For what it's worth I think 4.60 is somewhat cleaner, more consistent, and more informative than 4.6. 4.6 could be 4.596 rounded up or 4.604 rounded down. Or, at least, it looks that way. If other numbers go to two decimals it makes sense for numbers ending in 0 to do so as well.

Agreed. If two decimal point precision is what we're expecting, the numbers with just one decimal point looks out of place. And you'd have to be familiar with this particular literotica rounding rule to know that 4.6 is the same as 4.60 and not 4.64. Again, not a big deal in the gran scheme of things, but it jumps out as odd every time I see it. Be kind to the OCDs :)

What does this entry mean under My Activity?

Wonder if it relates to a change made to how submissions work.

Used to be you could preview a submission (without re-submitting it) and it stayed under submissions, but now if you open it for any reason while it's in pending, it'll be moved back to drafts.

Did you delete the draft by mistake? I've not seen that one before.

I considered both of these. And it's probably from doing an edit on a pending submission, but I really don't need to know about this. There are many more things that happen to a sorry that I would love to know, but not this.
