First a sub is not an "I", for a sub there is no "I". As a sub it is only permissible to refer to "Your servant" or "Your submissive".
Second the sub has no pleasure only a duty to serve and serving is the reward of greatness that replaces pleasure.

I agree. We've seen it time and time again. We all like talking about it but we don't like being directly involved. But lit does provide a good place for a public apoplogy given the nature of the forum. Isolating it would be a good compromise. Well, I kind of see it from both sides.

I totally get how most people would not necessarily want to be subjected to someone else's relationship drama, no matter what type of relationship it is (kinky or otherwise.) And that's exactly what these public apology to master/mistresss threads are- airing out people's personal drama in public (Just like being subjected to a normal married couple arguing loudly at a restaurant- same kind of thing.)

But I also get that, in this case, some dominant partner probably ordered their submissive partner to make a public apology. Because of their particular relationship dynamic, the submissive partner may have felt compelled to reply. It probably happens from time to time. For example, "Mistress (or Master, if you prefer) DEMANDS you go onto a public BDSM forum and write a public apology, Slave! Do it NOW!" (whip cracks.) The slave, submissive (whichever) felt obliged to do so, wanting to please, and thus turned their private quarrel into a public one. In this case I would blame BOTH partners for the breach of ettiquite here.

So, I don't know the solution, maybe a designated sticky thread, or maybe make it a short term post, let it stay up for a day or so then have a moderator purge the thread to clear the board.

When someone who has never posted here posts one thread with just one message - doesn't come back to update or offer more context to the one post, it does come off as either masturbation fodder or a one-off thread. It isn't given a lot of merit.
