Posts/replies vanishing/Double posts.

I have had this happen before, mainly with replies. Sometimes in a PM reply.

Earlier it was horribly bad in a particular thread. Two double posts from me. Another from another person.

And the vanishing words! I tried at least 12 times to reply. Each time, I got almost to the end of my longish reply and *poof*. All my words were suddenly gone. I finally had to post just a sentence or two at a time then keep editing to add more. What a PITA! I know this has happened to others too.

Does anyone know what causes this? Is it something I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Well, it doesn't happen to me all the time. Just sometimes. And sometimes it seems linked to the thread.

Not sure this will help, but...when I am making a fairly long response to a post or p.m., I do a Copy of what I have written so that, if my post/p.m. disappears, I have the text on the clipboard (or wherever your device stores a copy) and I can then Paste the remembered text into the next try. This has kept me from gnashing my teeth more than a few times.

If you're writing a long reply, periodically "Preview" the post. That saves it, and you can continue editing in the writing box - which will now be lower down the page.

Ahhh... Thanks! I never Preview. I will do so from now on.
