Should it be legal to drop RU486, the abortion pill, into a pregnant woman's beverage while she's not looking?
I ask because such a proposal is being considered in the Nevada Legislature.

if it's your mother's, i say "yes" :D

How is that pro-choie?

Like... do you not know what "choice" means?

Forced abortions are a thing. It's something that the pro-choice movement has been advocating against since inception.

So is forced sterilization, which is also not cool.

Like... this is a simple answer. Asked and answered.

I agree. Plus, there is the opportunity for all sorts of horror here that isn't even against the law.
This is the kind of law I think feminists would rise up against. It strikes me as odd it is surfacing in the Nevada Legislature the first time it is a majority of women.

Do you have a link to the proposed bill? That's something that kind of needs to be in the thread.

No. That's still taking away her choice. Why the fuck would anyone want to legalize that scenario?

Here it is and JESUS CHRIST NEVADA CAN'T FORMAT SHIT

I THOUGHT KY FORMATTING WAS BAD BUT JESUS GODDAMN NEVADA GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER.

Do these fuckers stumble in drunk off the Vegas Strip and write this shit?

"Nah we don't need no line breaks, just bold the different sections, they'll figure it out."

"Should we use bold garish colors to show changes so that the readers eyes will fucking bleed?"
"It's VEGAS BABY!"

"You know what'll really fuck with them? Let's put several blank pages at the end so that they don't know whether there's more and their browser just didn't load it, or whether we just included blank pages to fuck them up if they try to print it!"

Jesus goddamn why is it like this? Why is it THIS shitty? Who's doing the legal clerk work for the Nevada State Senate, Penn and fucking Teller?

Edit: I was so distracted trying to read this visual tirefire I forgot to include the link: https://www.leg.state.nv.us/App/NELIS/REL/80th2019/Bill/6300/Text

Also the pdf is nestled inside a CSS format that looks like a middle-schooler from 1997 just learned how to format frames.

This is a goddamn mess.

Should it be legal to drop LSD in someone's drink when they are not looking in your state?

Ok, so, here's the part they cut out of the bill that people are upset about, in case people don't want to read the whole bill because of the SHITTIEST FORMATTING IN THE WORLD:

201.130
Selling drugs to produce miscarriage; penalty.
Every person who shall manufacture, sell or give away any
instrument, drug, medicine or other substance, knowing or intending
that the same may be unlawfully used in procuring the miscarriage
of a woman, shall be guilty of a gross misdemeanor.

But I'd actually like to point out something else I feel that is kinda fucked up that was cut:

201.150
Concealing birth; penalty.
Every person who shall
endeavor to conceal the birth of a child by any disposition of its
dead body, whether the child died before or after its birth, shall
be
guilty of a gross misdemeanor

Um... so are we like... just allowed to hide baby corpses in Nevada? Like I get that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas but like... this is... I don't... like this... is no longer a crime... like you... it should be a crime to improperly dispose of baby corpses??

Also, not for nothing, but why was this ever a SEPARATE crime in the first place? Like my state has this law, but it's all corpses, not just baby corpses. You just can't hide a corpse. For any reason. It's not cool to hide corpses. How many fucking baby corpses were they just finding in Nevada that they had to make another law?

"You can't hide a corpse ESPECIALLY A LITTLE ONE JESUS CHRIST THIS IS THE THIRD ONE THIS WEEK!"

Like what... necessitated that they specify that? Who's out here just hiding baby corpses anywhere? This is not a joke I genuinely like... laws are written for a reason. For them to specify this outside of the normal 'don't hide corpses law' enough people did it to set a precedent that this needed to be addressed. Someone was finding baby corpses left and right and then when they asked about it people were like, "Where would I even get a baby corpse? I wasn't even pregnant." Like that happened! That happened enough that they felt they needed a law specifically for it.

I am not crazy about abortion, however, I do not want it to be illegal.

Righties don't give a damn once the baby busts out of the womb. I mean they bitch about social programs all of the time.

Why is that?

Why is that?

We raise our own kids, not the government. :)

Lol, I think it would have been great if the mothers of these Deplorables decided to swallow rather than breed.

Would have spared us some stupidity.

Poster above me is a great example.

A point many will gloss over.

I mean that's great, but what about kids with shitty parents? Who are being neglected or abused? (This is the most common problem when court-ordered "forced" abortions are denied.)

What about the kids who have intense medical problems that require a huge financial upkeep because of it? The kind of upkeep that it would be literally impossible for most parents to cover? (This is the most common outcome when medical abortions are denied).

The pro-choice movement protests the first situation, but also lobbies for government child advocates over parental rights.

The pro-life movement protests the second situation and then... does... nothing. Nothing to help the kids or parents.

And Again Can We Not Just Gloss Over The Fact That We Can All Start Hiding Baby Corpses In Nevada. Y'all Are Burying To Goddamn Lead. Why Does No One Care About This? Why Is This Not All Over The News?

So in your opinion, just killing them initially to avoid any possible future difficulty is the logical solution? :)
