Incels & alt-right already losing their minds over Captain Marvel

This is rather puzzling. When I was much younger, I was a fan of this kind of movie, and Captain Marvel was a man, the alter-ego of Billy Batson, who was a teen-age news broadcaster. His sister and partner was Mary Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. was also part of the mix. I was always puzzled about this, because Jr. seemed to be older than the captain.
 
Can't wait to see it. It's going to be awesome.

Still can't understand why people not interested in a movie like this, feel the need to post all over the internet about it? Just don't see it. We don't need to see you cry about why you don't want to see it. LOL

It wasn’t made for him! I want to know what it meant to women of color, biracial women, to teen women of color, to teens that are biracial.”


“For the third time, I don’t hate white dudes. These are just facts. These are not my feelings.” Larson would add, “Am I saying I hate white dudes? No, I am not. What I am saying is you make a movie that is a love letter to women of color, there is an insanely low chance a woman of color will have a chance to see your movie, and review your movie.”"


Where are the lies? Women of color have their own experiences and a white man cannot tell them how they should feel about these unique experiences. That's not racism or hatred, it's pure fucking common sense.

"The study found that out of 19,559 reviews, white men wrote 63.9 percent of reviews, white women wrote 18.1 percent, men of color wrote 13.8 percent, and 4.1 percent were written by women of color."

Makes absolutely no sense.

Are you saying that if you make a movie which appeals only to a limited spectrum of viewers, those who aren't in that spectrum aren't allowed to not like the movie and say it was a waste of money to make it?

Or, are you saying that, if you make a movie for a limited viewership and then release it to mass market, the reason your sales are flat are because the reviews aren't done by your limited viewership?

What makes no sense is that you think that you have to be a certain gender or race to be able to review if a movie is good or bad. I don't care about the percentage breakdown of movie reviewers.

I don't care that one white guy created a third of Wikipedia.
I don't care that 80% of veterinarians are female.
I don't care that 99.5% of firefighters are men.
I don't care that 63.9 percent of reviews were written by white men.

Who cares? It makes no difference which direction men or women lean towards when choosing a profession.
