A Journey In Vulnerability

Final thoughts for the night...

Trying to sleep and my mind is racing around with way too many thoughts. So I’m going to share some of them.

I get that life is about the ups and downs and how we deal with them. The downs keep us grounded so we don’t get carried away with the highs. But fuck, for once I’d like to be able to stay on a high for more than a day or two. My ground is really hard right now, and I just keep beating myself into it.

Never looked forward to a Monday morning so little. I just want to stay here in my cocoon of blankets and not face the rest of my life for a while.

Anyway, goodnight. The sun will shine tomorrow, even if I can’t picture it tonight. :cathappy:

See, that's the thing about depression. You can have good days, but you always pay for them. When your mind is both the prison and the warden, it'd hard to do much more than survive.

That's been my life for the last few years. Surviving, but not living. Over the last few months I have fought so hard to get back to a point where I feel like I am living again. And I'm getting there. My good days out number the bad ones now. But last night and this morning were very bad. Thanks to a couple people who I won't name here, I'm smiling now. But this picture was taken when I first woke up this morning, and was feeling like there was no point. :cathappy:

Each day is a fight to make it better than the last. Sometimes it is, sometimes it isn’t, but the key is that we get up the next morning and start the fight to truly live once more.

It will get better. Maybe not easier, but better. The emotional and mental vulnerability will remain but, with the help of those close to you—truly close—each day will start off brighter than the one before. Hang in there.

I've never really experienced depression like this, so I can't claim to know where you're coming from. I think I do understand the frustration that for once you just want things to go your own way. I guess it's just a matter of learning how to deal with the situations we don't want to deal with. It was definitely a Monday at work today. As much, my brain isn't working much today.

I really appreciate that you always try and relate to what I post, and be encouraging and positive about it. And thank you for the compliments :) I try to take a less is more approach, for the most part. Good art(not that I'm claiming that's what this is) should make you think, or evoke emotion, not just be physically pleasing. Just my humble take on it. :eek:

Well I could always be an asshole but that would never get anything done. :rolleyes: I like to try and be helpful...or at least I like to think I am. Something as simple as encouragement can go a long way. Anyone can bring about unnecessary negativity, it's the easy thing to do. I like laughing more. :p

I'm a pretty simple guy. I like women and looking at them. Kind of hard to deny that. But honestly, I appreciate a thoughtful picture more even though I'm mostly here to relax and enjoy myself. I'll never argue if you want to show more though. :D
