White House warns shutdown could carry on after emergency declaration

Of all the bullshit you've spewed, this is the bulliest..

That's because the rest ain't bullshit.

You just mad Trump has ruined the spirit of that big house win by bending your beloved (D)'z over.

LOL the TDS sufferers have all gone totally interstellar with RAGE....it's fucking brilliant. :D

Your revisionist history withstanding, Trump sat on national tv in a ridiculous display and said point blank "I will shut down the government". And he did.

Something I wanted to point out to you and the rest of your fellow anti-Trump believers.

Yes he did. And he did EXACTLY what he said he was going to do despite public opinion and opposition

That doesn't appear to be "spineless" to me. Your definition of "spineless" might be different though. I say that because your definition of "courage" seems to be different from the usual too. Your definition of "courage" seems to be something like "does what other people want him to do."

Kinda like how you say he does what Fox says. Oh wait, that can't be right. Trump doing what Fox News says is what you say makes him a bad president.

So which is it? Is he courageous for doing what other people tell him to do, or is he a bad President for doing what other people tell him to do?

And is the same kind of confusing and contradictory definition thing also applicable to "spineless"?

Spineless is acting to protect your ego instead of doing your job. Spineless is making people ration the medication because you fear you'll look like you folded on something no one wants. Spineless is letting all of these things occur because your ego is too damn fragile to admit you made a mistake.

You've got some weird Que-like false dichotomy going on. I never said he was courageous. I said he was a fool. Just like you are.

You tried saying it was democrats fault the government is shut down. Trump owned it from the get go. Yes, more revisionist history from you with a dollop of absurdity.

In one move, Trump cremated Paleosi's second stint as Speaker. The optics of her being on vacay while Trump was in DC waiting for a bill to sign weren't good. The current optics of the D's vacationing on the beach in Puerto Rico during the shutdown are worse.

Eventually, people will start screaming. And the ones they're going to be screaming to are the D's, not the R's. And the fingers of blame will be pointing straight at Paleosi and Schummer.

2020 is going to be glorious.

How is it "revisionist" for me to agree with you that Trump said he'd shut down the gov and then say that's what he did? Because that's EXACTLY what I did say.

You need a better dictionary, the one you're using has all the words and the definitions mixed up.

Thank you for proving that you prefer governance by pettiness.

So clearly displayed and absolutely undeniable... it's all about liberal tears for you guys. Nothing else.

It's ironic to hear them go on about emotional appeals when all they do is want a government that represents their hate.

You can't make this stuff up.

Holy cow are you even in this conversation. You said the shut down was on the democrats and now you are trying to tell me you said it was on Trump.

Enough.

“A Washington Post-ABC News found that 53 percent of respondents blamed Trump and Republicans in Congress for the shutdown, while 29 percent blamed Democrats. Thirteen percent of respondents said both sides were equally to blame.”

Wrong.

The guy must be retarded. Just like botanydummy and queball. How else do you explain it?

So you agree....Trump isn't spineless?

Because he is doing his job.

She doesn't understand that budget and appropriations bills come from the House. And, until the House creates that bill then sends it to the Senate to approve, or not, or disregard, there is no bill for the President to sign or veto.

Without an appropriations bill on his desk to sign or veto, the Prez MUST shut down the gov because he has no authority to run the government without any funding.

Nor does she understand that while people are having to ration their medications while not picking up their own trash, the legislators who are Constitutionally responsible for passing an appropriations bill are in Puerto Rico getting a January tan.

Thank you for proving that you prefer governance by pettiness.

It's not governance by pettiness.....securing the border is actually his job.

Using the powers of his office to pressure congress to secure the border....IS HIS JOB.

That's what he's SUPPOSED to be doing.

So clearly displayed and absolutely undeniable... it's all about liberal tears for you guys. Nothing else.

Socialist tears, liberals are good to go 100% M'urican as fuck.

No, it's about securing the border.

Watching you and the other socialist melt down over the fact that the USA isn't EU'ing itself to death is just a bonus.

You can't make this stuff up.

How is securing the border representing hate?

I'm betting because you made that up, you can't really explain.....:D

Are you even for real at this point?

Appropriations bills have been sent. Bipartisan ones. One that was going to be signed. Until Trumpy Thinskin got told he was caving and his ego couldn't handle it.

Grow up you condescending prick.

It's like arguing with a mentally retarded monkey.

Botany level of stupidity going on here. No wonder you guys are agreeing with each other. Well, one is judged by the company they keep.

Do you not know who the power holders in the House of Representatives are?

This would all make a lot more sense for you if you took a basic US government class ya know??

The guy must be retarded. Just like botanydummy and queball. How else do you explain it?

Always ready with shit talk.....can't ever actually refute anything.

This post is proof that you don't bother to read what you're replying to and instead you just make up shit to rage about.

I'll post the relevant parts of the 2 posts for you to read again.

The definition of insanity is to repeat the same actions and believe they will yield different results.

You don't even realize at this point what you said.

You... aren't worth any more of my time today. You really aren't.

McConnell Blocked the Senate From Voting on a Spending Bill Without Wall Funding

http://fortune.com/2019/01/10/mcconnell-blocked-spending-bill-vote/

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked a vote on Democrat spending bills that would reopen parts of the government without a border wall, referring to the legislation as “political stunts.”

“The last thing we need to do right now is trade pointless—absolutely pointless—show votes back and forth across the aisle,” McConnell said on the floor Thursday, according to CNN. “The political stunts are not going to get us anywhere.”

Try not to forget that they held the senate and house for two years before this became a "problem".

And that NOTHING was accomplished during Obama... because?

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/why-immigration-reform-died-congress-n145276

Obama makes it official, Boehner responds that the American people don’t trust him to enforce the laws

President Obama officially announced on Monday immigration reform’s death. “I believe Speaker Boehner when he says he wants to pass an immigration bill,” Obama said from the White House. “But last week, he informed me that Republicans will continue to block a vote on immigration reform at least for the remainder of this year.” As a result, he added, the Obama administration will take executive action (wherever it can) on immigration policy. Boehner responded, "In our conversation last week, I told the president what I have been telling him for months: the American people and their elected officials don't trust him to enforce the law as written. Until that changes, it is going to be difficult to make progress on this issue.” But this argument is tough to defend since if this were a sincere reason for the House GOP, they could simply write the law in such a way that it wouldn’t take effect until Jan. 20, 2017, right?

The gop has no problem allowing the orange train wreck to do so, however.

Civics, sweetheart, civics.

There is NO appropriations bill "sent". The current House bill is DOA in the Senate. Without the Senate voting on it, THERE IS NO BILL despite you thinking there is.

The House votes on the spending appropriations. The Senate concurs or votes a different bill.

If the Senate doesn't concur, the bill is DOA.
If the Senate votes a different bill, the House and Senate must go through the "reconciliation" process to see if they can "reconcile" the 2 different bills into 1 joint bill. Currently they are NOT doing that.

So, despite what you think there is NO bill. There hasn't BEEN a bill. And there is no bill on the President's desk he's refusing to sign.

Civics. It's the way government works. And you have no clue about any of it.

*majorly snipped*

Once again, I point out that TRUMP is not the Senate. The Senate either takes up the House legislation or it doesn't.

In this case the Senate Majority decided to not move forward on the House appropriations bill.

This is BASIC CIVICS which anyone who discusses politics should know. Which you (and Adrina) apparently don't.
