My head is filled with useless knowledge. It helps me in my job. So let's hear some of the trivial stuff you have floating around in your head. I'll start:

Lord Baden Powell spyed for the British in India and South Africa, disguised as an upper crust twit looking for insects. There's a famous sketch of his in the original Scout handbook of a fort hidden in a butterfly wing.

Julia Child spyed for the forerunner of the OSS in Manchuria before WWII.

Noel Coward spyed for the Brits traveling the world before and during the war as an entertainer.

David Niven's role near the end of WWII is still covered by the official secrets act!

Johnny Cash was assigned to the US Airforce Intllegence Codes section in Germany in the 50s. They wanted him to stay in the Air Force.

George Bush Sr. was the head of the CIA under Richard Nixon.

It's amazing to think about how much harder everything was before modern inventions (in this case a modern razor). How much more labor intensive.

I can't imagine anybody today, no matter how rich, has a servant for removing armpit hair.
