I really don't know how to explain it in simpler terms except to say that building a wall to stop illegal immigration, AND eliminate the resulting costs to the US economy, would SAVE US MONEY that could be used for those programs you suddenly seem to give a shit about.

But trying to tell that to someone who barely understands the difference between gross pay and take home pay is an uphill battle. You, among others, need serious help in this department.

I'm in favor of anything that reduces my tax burden. You should be too because the more money you have in your pocket the better the quality of life you get to have. You don't need a raise IF you get to keep more from your current pay scale. Imagine that. It's like free money.

It would not stop illegal immigration, as the majority of illegal immigrats are visa overstays, not US-Mexico border crossers.
