The whole "immigrants commit fewer crimes" mantra is deflection and denial.

It's deflection because it conflates "immigration" with "ILLEGAL immigration". 100% of ILLEGAL immigrants commit a crime. Yes, 100% of them. And I'm not talking about infractions, every last one of them commits at least 1 misdemeanor.

When was the last time someone could say US citizens committed crimes at that rate?

It's denial because the people who continue to repeat this STUPID talking point think that no one sees through the hypocrisy and idiocy. And they back it up with stats which somehow seem to show that immigrant communities are some of the "safest" communities. Meanwhile those same communities are where most crime occurs and requires the heaviest police presence.

Which tells me the stats aren't complete because they don't cover unreported crimes. Apparently, a crime which isn't reported isn't a crime.
