my experience with Craigslist personals was 99% bots and/or scammers and maybe 1% actual real people looking for hookups (as opposed to just looking for people to scam or rip off.) There were also a few really disturbing incidents with people in my area responding to Craigslist ads that emded up getting beaten up and robbed- it was just way too shady. Hence, I don't really miss it. There needs to be a better personals site that can actually vet out the people who sign up on it.

I set up a e-.mail account I use just for porn and hook ups yes still have to use a phone # but get a cell burner use that # There are always ways around things

Craigslist was great; had three good hookups that way. If you were smart and filtered out the garbage, Craigslist was effective. Have been struggling to find a good site since it went down.

I suppose it depends on the area. In bigger cities there were probably more "real" people compared to bots/scammers on Craigslist, though I'm sure there were still plenty of the latter. I live in a mid-sized city that was fairly geographically isolated (too far from the cost to be Portland or Seattle, and not big enough to be Denver or Phoenix) and after a while, it seemed like virtually all of the local ads on there were bots/scammers- the kind where you reply to the ad and all you get is an invitation to sign up for some other adult dating service, or if not that, then a request to send them money without ever actually meeting them face to face.

We used craigslist when we wanted to MFM. Miss it a lot. It was so great deciding to perv and be doing so in short order. Yes a lot of fakes but we had a way around that. Made them send a pic holding a paper with a message to us we specified on it. Hard to fake that!
