The booming U.S. economy, jump-started by the 2017 GOP tax cut, has created 878,000 more millionaires in just the last 12 months, according to an international wealth report from Credit Suisse.

“The boom goes on,” cheers the Credit Suisse's Global Wealth Report.

"Looking at the number of millionaires, we see that there are 42.2 million millionaires worldwide, which is up 2.3 million over the previous 12 months. Our research indicates that the United States added 878,000 new millionaires — representing around 40 percent of the global increase — to its already sizable stock," the bank said.

The number of people who suffered misfortunes during the previous decade and did not recover is a pretty good indication of the health of an economy.

Nancy Pelosi assured us that welfare pays off in the economy two-to-one that for every dollar you spend an actual government handouts somehow magically the economy benefits to the tune of $2. 878,000 millionaires have over $878,000,000,000 that they have to spend on something or invest somewhere. Given my druthers I'd rather live in a country that has that much capital on hand then say any of the places that you would like to pretend were a success because of socialism.

It doesn't have to begin and end in even number digits although that is a way that it is at times use when you speak of specific decades such as the eighties and nineties or what have you.

Your pedantic definition ignores the fact that not only is our calendar a human construct, whereas the passage of 10 years is not, it also ignores the fact that throughout human history and various cultures we've had all manner of different calendars which would not have this particular decade that you are speaking of end in a zero.

And even if we did go with your definition as if that was the exclusive definition of a decade it would also have included the latter portion of the Clinton years.

With the inflation we've had in previous decades to this one, it isn't that hard to be classified as a millionaire. I'm a millionaire in assets--and was before Trump ran for president--and don't particularly feel rich.
