Sessions Is Out

Meanwhile, Ken Starr took four fucking years and found a blow job.

So what does all of that have to do with Donald Trump, his campaign, and Russian collusion?

I keep on wondering why LD persists on the "if you have nothing to hide" BS.

I mean, it's not like he posts under his real name now is it...

LOL. I wonder how he feels about one of his namesakes arresting the state legislature of Maryland.:D

So... do you genuinely not know that the IRS has been riding his ass because he's lied to them 4 years running? Like... is this new information to you?

Edit: You may be asking yourself- if he's constantly defrauded the IRS, to the point that he's been sued at the state level, why the hell isn't he in jail?

Congratulations, you're now asking the same question as the rest of the fucking country.

Maybe now you understand why people want to look at those things. Right now we've got a 'he said' vs 'the IRS and the whole state of New York says'. Some folks want to check for themselves.

I'm only asking myself one question: If the IRS has knowledge or has made a determination that Donald Trump has violated Internal Revenue regulations or tax law why haven't they made a criminal referral to the Tax Division of the Department of Justice for prosecution?

Possible....but if they get it that way it won't be worth anything in a criminal court.

Legally, it will. There's nothing illegal about Mueller's investigation.

POTUS is Cheif Executive, he can direct his LEA's to investigate whatever the fuck he tells them to.

They just gotta do it within all the normal investigation rules, and bend that PATRIOT act to the legal limits :D

That's not how it works. The DOJ and FBI have always been politically independent of the WH. Any encroachment on that is also constitutional-crisis-level shit.

Umm, because it isn't?

Let's put it in simple terms so you and the rest of the idjits can grasp the significance; Let's say, for example, that you have a bunch of friends who like to drink and smoke on the weekends. You guys hang a lot together. And by that I mean a lot, like every weekend since your high school days.

One day one of them gets busted or DUI. Then another. And another. You, OTOH, know better than to imbibe and drive so you're clean, right?

Now the question: Why should YOU have to undergo a sobriety check every time you get behind the wheel? Should the fact that all your friends are drunks and junkies be any reflection on your sobriety? I mean, they're all drunks and stoners so you must be one too, right?

But that's not the way it works, right? Because you personally didn't do anything wrong. Yet, for Trump the acts of a few people he knows and associated with are somehow being imputed to him. Which is a wrong thing to do. Because if criminal behavior can be imputed by association, then every bartender is going to go to jail.

Guilt by association is NOT the law. Unless you're a progressive. And then only for someone other than you.

This might not be the best example for you to have used... if you're supplying the drugs you get in MORE trouble than your friends.

So if Trump is leading the charge, that is, if they follow the money and it leads to him as the supplier... then he ought to be good and fucked.

RIGHT!?

WELCOME TO HOW THE REST OF US FEEL!

Four audits in a fucking row that found purposeful misinformation and a 5th audit that the results haven't come back form yet?

WHAT THE FUCK!?

Anyone else would be in Jail. It's crazytown. There are people out here like our new judge who think that it should be illegal to prosecute sitting presidents because I guess we've just completely stopped giving a fuck.

That's literally the only reason I can think of. We've all collectively decided to just stop giving a fuck. Makes as much sense as anything else.

To be clear, Nixon knew nothing about the burglary. He damn sure devoted his office to the obstruction.

The burglary was only the tail end of CREEP's years-long criminal conspiracy to assure Nixon's re-election by sabotaging the campaigns of all Dem contenders other than McGovern, who was deemed easiest to beat. Hard to believe Nixon never knew any of it was going on.

One can make errors on a tax form that are not subject to to criminal prosecution if restitution is made.

Sitting Presidents are not prosecuted while in office based on long standing opinions and memorandum of the DOJ Office of Legal Counsel.

Doesn't mean they can't be investigated.

Trump uses a CFO- responsibility would have fallen to him if an error was made. The IRS found blatant lies FOUR YEARS RUNNING. Not errors, lies. The accountants were cleared because the math was right- it was just math built on lies. You're not legally responsible if your client lies to you. You go to jail if you KNEW it was a lie and did it anyway. If they found out you had access to that information and covered for a client you're fucked- and most folks are like me. We don't go to jail for NOBODY. We refuse outright unless the bribe is high enough, and if the bribe is high enough we sing like canaries. Yeah, snitches get stitches, but sometimes the stitches are better than going away for the time you'd have if you didn't cut the plea deal.

That last sentence sounds like bullshit, but I don't know enough about that to refute it- but it just makes them assholes if that's true.

Hogan, you didn't respond to my last post. Is this game over? Are you confident that you demonstrated your superior intelligence? That is what that was all about, right? You saw me attacking the phony-in-chief and you said to yourself, let me show him and everyone that I'm smarter. I'm guessing that you're old and retired and have to come here in an attempt to feed your ego.

“Look, I work for the phone company, I’ve had a lot of experience with semantics, so don’t try to lure me into some maze of circular logic.”

in regard to the last sentence. I know a lot about it, so I'd advise you to do some due diligence before opining. If you search my posts you will find the applicable memorandum which includes the history and a plethora of legal analysis supporting the position.

Your problem is you have a party line that cripples your ability to communicate effectively.:D;)

In my morning walk around the lake this morning I saw a lone duck quacking in the Cattails who probably had a bigger audience and more credibility than Paul Krugman.

Krugman is entirely credible -- I've never found him to be wrong about anything, ever -- and has a nationwide audience.

I certainly know a lot more than you about both.

I seriously doubt that. You certainly have never demonstrated it. The staggering cluelessness of your posts was the primary reason I put on Iggy. I didn't have the time to cope with your elementary level of civics knowledge.
