President Trump said Wednesday that he would deploy as many as 15,000 military personnel to the border with Mexico in response to caravans of Central American migrants making their way northward, doubling the figure Pentagon officials have announced would be operating there.

Iran Pakistan and Turkey all have between 1 million and 2 million refugees each in camps. The factor they all have in common - all are refugees from countries where the USA is involved in military conflict.

I am not suggesting that the USA is responsible at all, but 5000 caravanners is next to nothing. Some sense of proportion might be useful - but not before the election perhaps. ;)

Of all of the people in the world...some actually eligible for asylum...why *should* we admit those particular grandstanding 5,000? If it succeeds, there will be Caravan II and Caravan III organized.

There's absolutely no reason that a group organized together for the express purpose of trying to embarrass the president of the United States and his party which is in power should be coddled. F*** them. Trump was elected among other reasons specifically because the Democrats are in favor of unlimited immigration of people who are likely to become lifelong dependents of the US government and hence Democrat voters. It's about power not compassion. If Democrats were compassionate people they would actually donate to various organizations to help such people but they don't.

Shagly's little photo is a clear indication that he/she/it doesn't have a clue as to what the legal immigration numbers are and have been for decades. Along with a clear implication that the mere enforcement of existing law is somehow racist.

12 of the 'caravaneer's' have filed suit in the DC federal court on the grounds that Trump is violating their civil rights. They aren't in the country, they've had no contact with US officials, and they are in violation of international law, but by God they think they're citizens already. Fucking amazing.
