I find that PMing men works out well for me. Sometimes, it's continuing some form of interaction we may have had on the boards, an sometimes I am random for them, because I'm responding to something I've seen them post in a conversation or thread I'm not interested in joining. If I find them interesting and engaging in some way, I'll message them.

Success stories range from brief chats or flirtations to building some pretty meaningful friendships.

From this thread, I have messaged four people. Had nice conversations with two of them, but neither have logged on in several days, so it remains to be seen if those conversations continue. Another is one I've been chatting with for about a week now, and he's a hoot. We laugh a lot. And the fourth one is brand new, and we're just starting a conversation.

I'm not sure if that's the sort of answer you were looking for, but there ya go. :)
