Did NBC Make A Mistake When They Hired Megyn Kelly?

She did that when she got into the shitfest while still at Fox and had to take a "vacation" while it cooled off. Then she came back with the wannabe tough girl look that only lasted maybe a month before it started to vanish behind the bedroom soft-focus image she peddled.

Those were not good things to be doing right before contract renewal negotiations. And then, to think you are worth a few millions more than you are to the network ad execs and bean counters? Dumb.

Maybe her mistake was leaving the Fox News cocoon. If you develop your world view mostly based on right-wing talking points, it is extremely difficult to live outside of the cult where your narrow thinking is reinforced on a daily basis.

As soon as she attempted to be a journalist in a more diverse and rational world, her bumper sticker mentality rang hollow, and she came off as a light-weight and self-absorbed interviewer.

Perhaps if she could get out of this country and do beat reporting from a poor but culturally active region of the world, she could break out of the Fox mold.
 
How the fuck is she worth 68 MILLION dollars? We should at least be able to see her tits for that.

Can you imagine that teenagers from many Christian Orthodox or even Muslim European countries are now doing Halloween? While neglecting their own traditions.
When I was very young I would often see 20 Brenda Walsh or Kelly Taylor lookalikes walking down the street. And now this.

Kitschy cultural appropriation at it's finest.

I never gave a thought before to black or white Halloween faces. Those that portrayed them were hapless kids playing the Boogie man.
I guess it all depends on the context - some are portrayed with racist intent, but others don't have African-Americans or Caucasians in mind.

Boom. CONTEXT! It's Hallowe'en FFS. No one is thinking about racism or insulting anybody. Shit! I'm screwed. One of the only times I went to a costume party, back in the '70's, Mu girl and I actually rented Indian costumes(because I look like an Indian). She was a (sexy) squaw, and I was a Chief. They're probably going to crucify us now.
