Dems like to say that California is the 6th largest economy in the world but as recently as 2012 it was 10th, and when it is adjusted for the high cost of living it falls to 11th according to California Legislative Analyst’s Office. I said if you pulled their subsidies and cut their water off they would collapse quick fast and in a hurry.

They could MAYBE get the welfare out in time to keep most off the streets for a while.

But they can't avoid their water issues, cut them off from that and they will be having big fucking problems real fast that money won't fix anywhere near fast enough to prevent an epic poverty and possibly even famine shit show because their agricultural base would be fucking wrecked.

Their being a donor state has NOTHING to do with that nor does it change the fact that building an uberplex and a bunch of water thirsty farms in the desert comes with it's limitations and down sides.
